I'm sure this has been covered countless times, so I apologize right off. But, would anyone mind sharing their advice regarding the PhotoPass+ system at DL? We are going this June on a Multi-Day Trip, 5 days. Being used to WDW regarding pre-purchasing all your Photos for the entire trip at once, I'm perplexed by this option for only 1 day at $39?

Is the best thing to do to just not pre-purchase the PhotoPass+ and just see if the photos are worth it? Maybe just buy only 1 day's worth of photos out of the 5? Seems odd to us long time WDW folks. Just unfamiliar.

Thanks in advance!

It's a new pricing system, and it's exactly like you described. If you download the app and put all of your PP cards in it you can see all of your pics. You can also add attraction photos by entering the numbers on the preview screen. The pics will be in the app with a watermark that is removed if you decide to buy the pics, which you can then download. You have 45 days to purchase either the entire day or individual photos. There is no discount for buying multiple days. If you're planning to buy at least one day it is probably worth spending some extra time that day doing photo ops, meeting characters, asking for magic shots and getting FP for the rides with photos. You can also give the PP photographers your phone or camera, so that you can compare those shots with the PP shots when deciding which days to purchase.

This is something new and ridiculous. The old pass was a great deal and good for 14 days. I think Disney is getting greedy with this 1-day pass thing. Personally, I don't think it's worth it anymore. CM will take pictures with your camera if you ask.

We were there for three days and essentially just condensed our pictures into two. We did some family pictures in front of the castle, Royal Hall meet & greet, Anna & Elsa, Jedi Training Academy and other similar photos on our first day. The second day, there was only the RSR ride photo and we didn't really need that one. The third day we did Mickey and Minnie's house, some more castle photos ('cause the sun was finally out) and they also rode Space Mountain. We were willing to pay for pictures on all three days if it came to that, but I'd hoped we could stick to two by being strategic.

They will also use your camera to do photos, so that's a really good option for a day when you might not otherwise have a bunch of Photopass photos.

I'm trying to get my barrings straight with this because we too are WDW vets who are going to DL in June and I know we will want to purchase the 1 day photopass on multiple days. Could we wait until the end of our trip to buy the individual days that we want? I know there will be days that we won't be in the parks or if there is a day or two that we may not like the photos or didn't do M&Gs, etc...on those days I probably would not purchase it. Do I have to purchase the 1 day photo pass before using it?

Each claimed photo expires 45 days after it was taken. You can buy a day's photos for up to 45 days. I would recommend not waiting until the very last day, but you can look at the photos once you're home and decide which ones you want. If you want borders or character signatures or a date you can only get those by buying prints in the park. If there's a photo from a single day that you want it might be worth buying that as a print in the parks so you can still get a border. There are also some packages in the parks where you can get prints of multiple shots, and those don't need to be from the same day.
