Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for a October trip.

I would love to stay in the Grand California but will most likely be off Disney property.

We will be there from the 16th to either the 20th or 21st.

I have been there a few other times but never in the fall. Mostly spring or summer. How's the weather in SoCal that time of year? We are for WA state so a little rain won't bother us.

I am wondering about any Halloween activities. We will also be going to Legoland one of those days.

Hey...Hojo has the entertainment rate available during that time ($59/night). Go to hojoanaheim.com enter the promotion code SD50. You'd have to buy an entertainment book to get the Entertainment card...but that's only about $20.

Definitely go to Mickey's Halloween treat at DCA. It's a ticketed event...so keep your eyes and ears open for when they start selling them...tickets go quick for certain dates. There's a Halloween thing at Big Thunder Ranch. Very cute. Also there's the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the Haunted Mansion...

Weather is generally still nice. You might get a little rain. It will get a little cooler at night. Make sure to bring a warm jacket. You'll probably be wearing shorts during the day - then pants and jackets in the evening (well that's what I do lol).

Hey, I'll be there at the same time you will! As many times as I've been to DLR, last year was my first time going for Halloween. Now it's toss up as to whether I like Halloween or Christmas time better! The fall and Halloween decorations are wonderful at both parks and all the characters are in costume too. We had so much fun going to Mickey's Halloween Treat wearing our costumes! Going during the fall will be a yearly tradition for me now along with Christmas time! You're going to have a great time!

BTW, if I had a husband, I'd trade him for a Jack too!:lmao:

But anyway, we're talking October. and I have to say that my next trip will definitely be an October trip. I've never been in the fall and I think it would be FANTASTIC! :cheer2: I would LOVE to go for week this Oct but alas, my car is screaming to be paid off. So my tax return is spent before I even get it! :( Such a shame too bc that HoJo rate has me so excited!!! :lmao:

Thanks for the answers. I didn't realize the Halloween activity in DLC was a ticketed event. I'll have to be sure and watch for when those go on sale.

It's going to be hard to be patient and wait for October to roll around.
