DL in April

Hey everyone ,

We became annual passholders. We were thinking about just packing up and going in April for the weekend any thoughts? We have never been to DL in April any info would be great.

Spring Break crowds will diminish by the second week of April.

Definitely go and have a wonderful time!

I found this information helpful from a mod on another Disney message board...

Weekends between January 7th and May 22nd.
Disneyland is offereing the 2fer deal and the parks will be busy.

The weekend of May 16, 17 and 18th.
This is the last weekend of the 2fer. The parks, especially DCA will be packed.

During Spring Break
Spring Break times run from Mid-March to the end of April. Couple that with the 2fer and you have a busy park.

During any major convention in Anaheim

Here are some of the major ones:

April 3 through 6 - Orange County Boat Show (Don't miss the boat ... show)
April 18 through 20 - American Showcase National Cheer and Dance Competition (avoid at all costs!)
Apirl 18 through 20 - Long Beach Grand Prix (expected crowds of around 200,000)
July 6 through 10 - LA Dance Magic Finals

You can see that there's pretty much always a conference going on:

early March - 33,000 cheerleaders
early April - 21,800 nurses and teachers
April 18-20 - 10,000 cheerleaders.
May - 14,000-30,000 doctors and dentists , depending on when you go.

Good Info. But don't forget that the Long Beach Grand Prix is also going on April 18-20...they typically get around 250,000 fans, some of whom will be coming over to Disneyland at some point during their trip.
