hi
we just booked disneyland hotel :) i know about goofys kitchen but what about a food court for a quick breakfast ? is there a food court inside dl hotel?
thanks

The coffee house next to Goofy's Kitchen in DLH has pastries and fruits. Most people would grab some pastries at the Compass bookstore at downtown disney or at La Brea Bakery also at DTD.

Your options are limited at the hotel, but you'll have more choices if you walk through Downtown Disney.
Jamba Juice is my personal favorite. :thumbsup2

This is the biggest drawback that I could see to staying on property at DLR. Breakfast options are few and expensive. La Brea was far too expensive for what you get. I like the food at Goofy's Kitchen but again a bit pricey. I didn't know about the pastries at the bookshop that's good to know. I say the place near Goofy's kitchen but have never tried it either. My favorite place to breakfast at DTD is the Rainforest Cafe' unlike dinner, it is rarely full for breakfast and they do a wonderful job.

cant be of much help, other than to say that when we went to the little coffee place next to Goofy's, the coffee was HORRIBLE!!! I'm a fairly picky coffee drinker, but can usually get through it. I literally took one drink and threw it away. SOOOO gross!

My sister and I ended up taking a taxi to Starbucks after that! nothing like a $20.00 coffee!

Hi
Thanks
This might be a stupid question  but the cofee place next to goofy's you say there are fruits & pastries there but what about juices ( ex orange, apple ...) because if the cofee is gross I can for one or two mornings get by with drinking juices but watch out on the 3rd morning this gal is going to need her java lol...

Food options in the morning in at DLH (if you exclude the character breakfast and room service) are very limited - the coffee shop is it! They have cereal bowls, bagels, muffins, fruit, pastries fruit juice milk etc whic hare all fine and the very bad coffee everyone talks about.

My advice speed wise would be pick something up the day before and have in your room before you head out. I think the coffee is universally bad at DLR, although the book shop is somewhat better. (to give you some idea we have even driven to the hilton starbucks in desperation!)

If you want to stop on the way through DTD then the above options are fine.

I have to agree about having something in your room. Thats what we tend to do, that way we can just grab something quick and have an early lunch.

The coffee shop also has sandwiches it seems

Steakhouse 55 serves breakfast and it doesn't look that pricey...

Other than that, your looking at someplace in DTD.

Oh.. dont forget most rooms at the DLR have a small fridge, so if your inclined to shop, you can have a quick breakfast in your room

The GCH also has a small counter service area for food called White Water Snacks. Limited supply of breakfast foods, but you can get cereal bowls, pastries, fruit, as well as french toast sticks, a breakfast burrito and a Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich. The burrito was enough to fill up my fiance, who can eat quite a bit, and my mom and I, who have small apetites, split the french toast sticks. You can Check the "DL Resort Info" website for prices. I felt their prices were reasonable compared to the other places around the hotel. This is one reason I would love to stay at the GCH again over the DL Hotel (if I can afford it).

Also, I heard there is a CoCos restaurant near the Paradise Pier... not sure how that is. I do know that they are similar to a Dennys, and the ones up here are ususally pretty good for breakfast.

Just like everyone stated, the Coffee House seems to be the only place for a quick bite in the hotel. It had danishes, muffins, croissants, bagels that can be toasted for you, cereal, milk, juice, tea, coffee, hot cocoa, yogurt, etc. It also had a microwave there that you could use.

We just shopped & put things in the fridge of our room to eat. (I love a bagel w/cream cheese, cucumber, & tomato sandwich for breakfast.) We asked for a coffee maker to be sent to our room as well for our own favorite coffee/tea in the morn.

Hope this helps ;)

You can have a coffee maker brought to your DLH room (the little 4-cup kind), but again, the coffee pouch provided with it is pretty awful-tasting. Even DH couldn't drink it, and he'll drink just about anything. :rotfl:

I read about someone who found little travel coffee pouches (pre-measured ground coffee inside sealed filter-paper), and I would love to find those and bring them along. If only Starbucks made them... (BTW, I think it was Peets? I don't think we have them locally.)

How cool would it be if there was a Cinnabon in DTD. I know this isn't the place to post this but as I was reading about quick breakfasts that popped into my head. MMMMM that sounds so good right now! I think I must need a snack.
