Has anyone else had problems with the water temperature fluctuating in the showers at DisneyLand Hotel? I've stayed there twice and got the same room both times, so I don't know if it's just a problem with that room or throughout the hotel.

Most of the time it's just a minor annoyance. But a few times per shower, the water will get hot enough to hurt or cold enough to take your breath away for a second. This has occurred every night I've stayed there. I called the front desk to see if this was just a problem with the buildings, but they acted like they had never heard of it before.

So did you have any good experiences on your trip? This is the second post that is a negative.

Hey, I was there for 4 days and only had 2 things to complain about. That's not too bad, is it? :) But just to prove I'm not a big complainer, here's a few examples of potentially bad things that worked out quite well:

- One morning when we came out from the Plaza Inn from breakfast, it had started raining and we had no raingear. But apparently neither did Princess Aurora who had taken cover on the restaurant's porch. Nobody else had noticed her, so my daughter and niece got to spend quite a bit of time with her.

- A different afternoon was cold and a bit rainy. But I took my daughter and niece out anyway and we were able to do all of the Bugs Land rides several times with no waits. We also did a non-FastPass ride on Soaring Over CA with only a 15 minute wait. So to anyone who might whine about a little rain, I say put those rain jackets on and go have some fun.

- That same evening was too cold for the little ones to stay out and watch fireworks. But back in the room we had a great view of the fireworks from our balcony.

- I didn't get to dine at Goofy's Kitchen as much as I usually like because all PS's were gone and they weren't taking walk-ins. But this was better than previous trips where we were told we didn't need a PS and would be seated in about 30 minutes, but then ended up waiting over an hour. It's much better to be told up front that there's no space available rather than being strung along.

And overall the trip was very good. The Christmas decorations and changes were great (this was 12/20 to 12/23). I was thrilled that they've added It's a Small World as a FastPass ride. Overall the park was much less crowded than I had expected. It was definitely less crowded than WDW the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Now that I've got all that positive blabber out of the way ;) I would like to defend myself further by clarifying that my two posts were not meant as airing of complaints. My Fantasmic post was meant as a "heads up" to anyone planning on booking it. I checked for posts here before booking and did not find anything that made me think it would be anything other than great. And this thread, about the water temp issue, is a serious question that I'm hoping others can answer. I would very much like to know if anyone has encountered this. I love everything else about the DL hotel. But for $200/night, I'd like to be able to relax in the shower - not have to wonder every second when I'm going to have to jump out of the water stream.

I have stayed at the DL Hotel approximatly 10 times without such a problem.

Yes, but did you find the toilet paper to your liking?;)

Yeah, I had problems with the water temp, but not quite the same problem that you had. I had to settle for a pretty cold shower one morning during our last trip (almost the same time as you 12/19-12/22). We were in the Marina Tower, 2nd floor. At other times the water was fine and I don't remember having this problem during other stays. I figured it was timing. It's not uncommon for many of the guests to get up and shower at around the same time.

Ever stay in the Marina Tower? That's where I was both times. And the other poster that mentioned a problem was also in the Marina Tower. Maybe it's just a problem with that building. That would be great to know.

I have stayed in both Bonita and Sierra towers and never had a problem - maybe it is specific to Marina tower.

And, to year2late, ouchhhh!! (yes, toilet paper is rough!!):teeth:

Heck, if Eisner will wipe with one ply, so will I.

Oh, that was toilet paper? How embarassing. I brought it home as a souvenir thinking they were showing off some new technology for making ultra-thin sandpaper. I've been using it to smooth out nicks and dents in some of my old furniture.
