I can only tell you my personal experience. We have stayed at the DL Hotel a total of 4 times. 3 in the Bonita and 1 in the Sierra. All 4 times have been wonderful experiences. The rooms were all equally nice and seemed to be in mint condtion. Especially the bathrooms. Knowing how many people stay there on a continued basis, I am thinking they have been rennovated and kept up on a regular basis. Also, bear in mind these rooms are usually occupied by families and probably take a lot of abuse, but they have always looked great to us. The housekeeping was excellent. I know a lot of people talk about beware of the Bonita, but we have always loved it. Walking across the bridge/koi pond is very pretty. It is only a slightly further walk and we have had both parking lot views and a view of the park itself (distant but still impressive). Once we were right above where they have the wedding ceremonies and had a great view of a very beautiful wedding! In the Sierra Tower we were on the 2nd floor, pool side. I thought oh no, it is going to be noisy. Couldn't ever hear a thing. The Sierra room seemed identical to the Bonita room except that it had kind of a long entry way leading into the actual room, pretty much just wasted space. The rooms are not all that big but they are nicely furnished and have that nice Disney feel with the Mickey soaps and the pixie dust wallpaper. We have friends who also stayed there recently and had a wonderful experience as well. The pool is nice, always has plenty of towels and lifeguards on duty which is really nice. The grounds are beautiful. I can recommend it based upon my experience but others may say differently! I hope this helps and that you have an excellent stay! Oh one more thing I like about this hotel, if you need an extra bed you can request a daybed room or get a free rollaway brought up to you. That is really nice, I hate getting stuck with that $10 a night rollaway fee some other places charge!
