DL Hong Kong encouraged to decrease capacity

I just saw an article about how things went at a trial opening over the weekend. Interesting. Here's the article from Reuters.

Eh, I wasn't worried. As much as I wish I could be at HKDL on opening day, the finances are a bit prohibitive.

Besides, doesn't three hour waits for top attractions and 30-minute lines for counter service meals just sound like SOP for parks at capacity anyway?

Exactly. Given the small number of attractions they're opening with, I'm not surprised the lines are long. I was rather surprised when I was on the DL HK website at how few attractions were available. But like all the parks, they will add over time.

Of course, back when Walt opened a park, that was because he didn't have the money to open everything all at once and oh yeah, he changed attractions often. Now, Disney has plenty of cash, I mean, they could afford Fox Family.


Still, it's a convient excuse to justify a worthless park that does nothing but dilute the brand.
