DL Haunted Mansion pins

Question...why is it that DL's Haunted Mansion pins, are, in my opinion, soooo much better that WDW's? They're more grown-up looking, actually mimicking the ride more than DW.I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I wonder how many other people agree with me? Also, why are the Nightmare before Christmas pins only DL? Just wondering

Good question. I believe each park has their own buyer - vender. It is like the disney store does not have the same merchandise as WDW or DL.

The Villian pins and Haunted Mansion pins have always been a hot item. They don't make a lot of them so I would say supply and demand

Hi Melodie,

One of the reasons DL has so many more Nightmare Before Christmas pins is that the Haunted Mansion at DL has been made over with NBC characters for the Halloween thru Christmas seasons. Last month, on each Saturday, DL put out a LE pin which represented each of the new stretching portraits in the new HM. Also, on Oct 3, DL held a special event to introduce the new HM before it opened to the public. It also had merchandise including 5 NBC pins which were all LE.

Hmmm. I haven't seen the stretching portraits yet. Better I don't or I may have to buy, buy, buy. I'm sure they're going to be good.

It is so funny to listen to everyone, we just spent a week at Disneyland pin trading, all we heard all week long was how much better the pins in Florida were compared to the pins in California.

Prior to that we spent a week in Florida listening to everyone complain about how much better California's pins were over Florida's.

So I guess you get a different answer depending on the coast you are from. We living in Chicago, get to see the best of both worlds, as we can only pin trade by going to either coast. Florida gets visited more often only because its 2 hours closer on an airplane.
