I'm pooh-sized and have been to WDW several times and have not had any problems on any of their rides. What about DL? Are they pooh-friendly? What about Space Mountain? It's a little tricky at WDW.

I am Pooh sized...and have never had any problem. Space was fine for me. I have never been on Screamin so can't say how that one is.

What about Space Mountain? It's a little tricky at WDW.

I'm going to DL for the first time next month. I totally agree with you about Space Mountain at WDW. I'm averaged sized and found it difficult to get in and out of those cars. At WDW, I feel like I am sitting on the ground when I get in that car! I won't even ride it anymore! From what I've seen of the pics at Disneyland, it appears that you slide into those cars like a regular rollercoaster and you sit side by side with someone.

NEver been to WDW, but I do know that the Space Mt vehicles at DL are completely different than those at WDW. DH has been pooh sized and rode Space Mt fine.

BTRR is not a good ride to be the smaller person next to Pooh Bear as there is only a lap bar pulldown.

I didn't have any problems with any of the rides at DL.

As far as BTRR, I was worried about riding that with my 5 yr olds after reading so many people on the boards saying it's not recommended to ride with smaller people. I asked 3 different cast members (I have anxiety and was paranoid so I asked a couple of different ones lol) running the ride and they said it is not an issue at all. They said the bar was just to prevent people from falling out the side, and when I was in the car with my much, much smaller 5 year old, there was no way he would have fit out the side.

I'm Pooh sized (especially on top :rotfl: ) and Screamin' is just fine! At other theme parks I don't really fit on any coasters because of my chest but I'm very comfortable on Screamin'! In fact, I'm comfortable on all of the rides (with exception of Mullholand Madness but I'm eager to see if this will change when it's re-opened). I love how Disney's Pooh friendly :woohoo: !

Stomach and butt will be fine :thumbsup2 My good friend is Pooh sized as well and she carries most of it in her butt and thigh area...she fits well also. Screamin's bar is over the shoulders. Most of the other rides are lap bars. Neither one of us have ever had a problem. My biggest issue is getting up from space mountain, but it's never hindered me (or her and her hips are bad) from riding. It's so stressful being Pooh sized and not knowing if you will fit (and it's embarrassing if I don't). We went to Universal in Orlando in October and I was very limited in what I could ride. Just this last weekend we went to Great America and I can't do any of the coasters there...that's why I love Disney! One size fits all!

Try not to stress and don't worry about not fitting! You will have a WONDERFUL time! :cool1:

I totally agree with you. I had the same problem at Universal in Orlando. It's so embarrassing. (I'm especially embarrassed for my family). Is screamin's bar like the hulk or the dueling dragons? I had to have the modified seats for those. It didn't want to lock too well because of my belly.

I'm not sure..I didn't ride either. I didn't even fit on the HP ride over at USO even with the modified seats. I'm 5'8 and a size 22. I carry all my weight in my chest and belly. I'm sure I could have been 100 lbs heavier and still fit on screamin' :rotfl2:

I am a bit bigger than Pooh and have NO problems on any rides at DL. The only one that comes close to a problem is Splash Mountain but even that worked out. You will have a great time and don't worry for one second about not fitting.

I think alot depends on how pooh sized your are. I am a size 16 and never had a problem at DL or WDW on any ride, including Screamin. I did have a problem once at Univeral Islands on the Hulk. I could not get it buckled and a worker had to wedge me in. It was so embarrising! Screamin does not have a buckle, just a pull down...and I did just fine. The only small problem we did run into at DL was on the Matterhorn. The CM had my husband and I get into the same seatbelt. We did not even almost fit! I had to get out and wait for the next car. I fit into a seat belt by myselt just fine. Stop worrying! Have a great trip!

I have no idea who these folks are, but I found it online.:)

Thanks for the information. I'm planning my first Disneyland trip and I'm still slightly pooh sized, 6'3" 44-46in waist. I've been to WDW several times and didn't think I would have any problems with the seats and Disneyland. My main concern is the possible side trips to Knotts Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain. On my last trip to FL I was able to ride all the rides at Universal, although I needed the modified seats on DD and Hulk.

Thanks ya'll. I love my disney friends. With it not having a latch then I'll probably be ok. I'm 5'5" and a size 24. Hopefully one day I will find the will power to lose weight. I think the older I get the harder because I get more comfortable except for theme park rides.

Honestly, for Space Mountain the problem will be your height, not your girth. If you have very long legs, it will be uncomfortable at best. The worst part is that you have to get those legs situated and the lap bar pulled down in less than 10 seconds, or the ride shuts down!

I am 5'7" and weigh 196, not too bad, but I have trouble on the Matterhorn. Yes it is roomy but a big person has trouble manuvering and it is hard to get in and out of. Also IASM is a bit hard to pull yourself out of. So my advice is to decide if you have trouble pulling yourself up from a low position. Pulling my weight up is a concern for me.
