Hi all!

I know intellectually that dining reservations at DL are NOT like ADRs at WDW. That said... I still feel compelled to book as soon as possible! LOL!! In particular, I want to make sure that I get the WoC dining package. So my question...

At 60 days out, what time can I book these online? Is it midnight PACIFIC time or midnight EASTERN?? Some other time??

I tried the various DL newbie and dining threads, and couldn't find this info for some reason (probably because no one cares to book at midnight 60 days out for DL... LOL!).

Thanks!!

The online dining system rolls somewhere after midnight (Pacific), but before 6:00 am (Pacific). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it always rolls at the same time every day (I've seen it roll right after midnight and not until after 3:00 am). Also, note that they do not always load the information into the system right when the system rolls, so if you get online and it shows something as being fully booked, it probably means they haven't loaded it into the system (in that case, check back later in the day or in a few days).

That is SO helpful -- thanks, @figment_jii!! I've been booking them each day as I wake up (6:30AM Eastern), and was wondering if I should try to sooner for the WoC package. Sounds like doing it when I wake up if probably fine.

Thanks!!

Hi Carolyn! Welcome to the "other" side of the board. ;)

I felt the same way as you. But really you'll be fine. No need to set an alarm or worry about it.

I can't remember.... have you been to DLR before?

I used to live in San Diego and went to DL a few times a year, but that was a million years ago or so... I think 15 yrs to be specific! We've never been to DCA, and for the kids (DS10, DD9) this will be the first time in DL at all!!

Sounds like you're in for a real treat. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Did you download the DL app yet? It's a nice tool for wait times, FP return times and finding characters.

Thanks so much -- will do! I just downloaded the app the other day, but haven't looked at it yet -- glad to hear it's useful!

We're pretty excited! All 5 of us (me, DH, DD, DS, my sister) will be running the Star Wars Light Side 5K together. The 10K will be DS's first official 10K race, which my sister and I will be running with him. Then, because we're obviously crazy, my sister and I are running the half. :scared1:

The races were the initial impetus for the DL trip, though we've been planning for years to do it "some day when the kids are a little older". Now I think that we're more jazzed about the DL trip overall than about the races. So much new stuff for us -- it'll be a treat!
