DL APs

I received a letter that my DL PAP is about to expire... Which as of late next month will be true.

From the looks of it, the renewal rate is the same as the DVC discount, and the only extra perk is I get a 20% off coupon for a purchase at the stores?

Considering my next trip will be this month and it will be the end of my points for the year (and although I may try and go otherwise, paying cash or going via Disney travel), I'm thinking I can go without the coupon and just get a new AP the next time I go after it expires... That way I can extend the lifetime of the pass while paying the same price... At least buying while the prices are the same.

Does that sound like sound logic?

That's exactly what I am doing, so sounds logical to me

My AP expires 05/27/08, so going one last time (05/25/08), than not buying a new AP until August or September, since I won't go to DLR in the summer.

We've always done this. We go about every other month, so at renewal time, we just wait until our next trip and purchase again instead of renewing.

I got a DL AP when I was there last week. I loved how it was good for 10% off at all food places I went to. I had a deluxe (with blackout dates). The Premium AP was 15% off.
