DJ at GF

Just finished a trip to GF. DJ, the MGR at the Grand is amazing. Got to say after 21 visits to WDW over the years, this is the only cast member to get me to register for this site. This is my first post.

We had some problems with our room, the dining plan, etc. Not big things, just new packages and plans that we weren't used to. He sat down and took the time to help us. He even called us from home, on his day off, to make sure that we were OK. He is the most friendly, giving CM I have ever met. So down to earth. Not at all like some managers we have dealt with.

I can tell you that because of this one person, we will never stay anywhere else...unless he transfers.

Just dealing with DJ is worth the extra money. You know you'll deal with someone that cares.

I agree wholeheartedly about DJ. He is one of the many caring managers at the Grand Floridian. The staff there has been especially wonderful to work with over the past few years. My family loves staying at the Grand Floridian.

On check-out day this Summer, the ATM machine was down. As I stood in line at the Front Desk, DJ was walking around the lobby making sure that the guests were happy. He walked up to me and asked if there was anything that I needed. I asked him when the ATM machine would be back up again. He said the owners of the ATM machine had already been called and they would be out as soon as possible, however, he wasn’t sure of the timing. I asked him what the maximum amount was that I could cash a check for. I told him that I was switching resorts and needed cash for tips, etc. DJ answered my question and then gave me two options that I didn’t expect. He was courteous, professional, and kind in his dealings with me that morning. A true gentleman.

The Grand Floridian is a wonderful resort, made even better by Cast Members such as DJ. It's nice to hear that other folks think as highly of him as I do.

Just for the record, Kent Mitchell is General Manager at the Grand. I believe DJ is in Guest Services, I am sure Janet will know for sure what department.

We met a DJ at the Yacht Club a few years ago - he was outstanding in his job! Wonder if this is the same DJ now at the Grand Floridian? We're heading there next week and hoping it's the same man

Yes. In speaking with him, he mentioned that he was at the front desk at the Yacht Club before coming to the Grand Floridian. Enjoy your trip.
