Dixie Chicks?

They are pretty much my one and only favorite country singer, well, besides John Denver, he's corny but it's good.


Anyway, like Dixie Chicks or not? My friend said her mom made her boycott them because when they were in London and they said they were ashamed of Bush and the whole Texas thing...

I like them for not caring about what people think of them and it seems kinda different.

I don't particularly enjoy them.
But I do not mind their comments on Bush. They are not inaccurate.

As musicians- yes. As humans- no.
Like TOT_Princess_412 said, I try to ignore the political side. Its how they voiced their opinion that created madness.

That's what happened to my friend. Her mom deleted all their songs because of their political view of how they hate Bush. That only made my mom {and me} love them more.

Very few things in this world make me more angry than people who 'boycott' them because of what they said. People say stuff like that or worse every single day. Their opinions have every right to be expressed just as those who are out of the lime light do. Opinion justification knows no status.

Someone expressing their political opinions should not be a reason to boycott.

The asian food market that was built in a small shopping mall in my City, was planning on kicking out all of the caucasian tennants in the mall and only allowing oriental businesses to be established there. That is racist and that is the reason many people (of many different races) decided to boycott that particular market.

Being able to express our political opinions freely, without fear of punishment or unfair descrimination, is a right that our forefathers fought for, and that should be maintained.

I'm sorry, but I hate the Dixie Chicks. I love every other Country music artist besides for the Dixie Chicks. They totally ruined the Grammys. Other Country artists should of won.
