Never heard of this before yesterday. We usually eat all our meals at OKW 1BR. But this year we're going in March, October and again in January 2012. We're getting our first annual passes and will probably eat out more often. Not enough to get the dining plan. Would it still be worth it to get the DIW card? I understand there is a 20% discount on everything? Even ice cream bars? Dole Whip? Le Cellier? What about Downtown Disney? Is it good for 1year from time of first use like the annual pass or calendar year.

Thanks,
Tony

TIW = Tables in Wonderland

It is good for most table service restaurants and some counter service (at the value and moderate resorts, plus SSR, and a couple at AK). Yes, 20% off your entire check, including beverages. We find it is well worth it.

No, it does not offer a discount on snacks like Dole Whip, Mickey bars, etc.

The card is active the day you buy it and is generally good for 1 year from purchase through the end of the following month, or ~13 months. For instance, I bought my most recent card on March 21, 2010 and it expires April 30, 2011.
