Divorce Name Change?

I wish I had changed my name but my lawyer advised me not to because of my children and I had an old fashioned judge. This was a long time ago (1983).

This poll only applys if you changed your last name at the time of marrage. I did not, so would keep my last name (no divorce plans).

Yes, I gladly took my maiden name back after I divorced my ex 8 years ago.

I remarried 2 years ago and took my dh's last name and my dd requested to have his last name - so we had her last name legally changed as well.

I'm not divorced, but this is one of the reasons I never changed my name to begin with! I have been married for 13 years and I have the same name I was born with.

Not divorced, but man was it a pain to change my name when I got married (things still pop up that I haven't changed yet).

I worked for a prominent divorce/custody attorney and I would say it was about a 50/50 split with women who kept the married name and who went back to the maiden name. Most kept the married name for children/professional reasons.
