Dividing a continuous reservation

We have an extended trip booked but might not go. Will member services divide an existing continuous reservation into smaller reservations if you want to let others take the reservation? Maybe take a 3 week reservation and divide it into 3 one week segments for 3 different families? Thanks

No, once it is booked as one, it can not be split unless you booked it that way.

You can list as many guests up to occupancy, even if some are leaving mid and others coming.

You can modify the reservation online to remove nights from the beginning or end of the reservation (shorten it). Splitting it would require cancelling and rebooking, which of course risks losing some or all of the nights.

I would be careful splitting a reservation because they could have you change rooms if it isn't linked correctly. If you do split, make sure you check at the front desk when you arrive. It happened to us once. We were told by MS it was linked but it wasn't.
