Morning all!

Jen that is a great story about the reg! Glad you didn't get a ticket!! Guess it helps to be a "hot chick" I wasn't so lucky last year. I got my first ever ticket and the guy didn't even consider giving me a warning. I was so mad. I had stopped at a corner and was making a right turn on a red and he said I didn't stop and I KNOW I did. He gave me the ticket anyway without even a warning and I had NEVER had a ticket in my life and I STOPPED anyway. By the time I did the traffic school and everything it cost me over 400 bucks. I was so ticked and I should have gone to court and challenged it but live and learn I guess. Glad you had a better experience and like I said it helps to be cute!!

I ended up not going in to work again yesterday. Things are really slow at work but am finally going in today. Not a whole lot going on but have a few bills I need to pay.

Yesterday I went to pick up the girls from school and there was a fire truck across the street and so I called my dad and told him to find out from our OTHER neighbor friend what was going on with our neighbor Walt who lived there. He is an older man who lost his wife about 5 years ago and he is fairly old and feeble and I was afraid he might have fallen or worse. So dad called me back and unfortunately he had passed away It is sad but he passed peacefully in his sleep which is good. But the REALLY sad news I got this morning and we got an email from our swim team and one of the families lost their son to a car accident. Apparently he was away at college in Michigan and was killed this past Saturday. I can't even imagine being HERE and having your son be killed in another state! He was only 18! SO sad!! So def a sad week here!!

Last year we had a team lose their home and EVERYTHING they own to a fire while we were at a meet. So tragic! Makes you appreciate life and not stress about the daily crap as much when you hear stories like that!

Good morning, ladies!!
I can't believe it is barely Wednesday. For some reason, this week is dragging on and on......

I've been suffering from post-vacation blues. I was fine on Monday, still on a "high" from our trip, but yesterday and today I've been feeling blah. Just not ready to get back to reality, I guess.
Oh well, no biggie. This always happens to me after a fun get-away. I want to stay on vacation!!! That's not so unusual, is it??

Anyway, hopefully I can snap out of it soon.

Evening Ladies.

I wanted to let you all know that I'm scheduled for my heart surgery on Thursday. I'll be back home on Friday. The surgery isn't very invasive (thankfully). They are going in with catheters and using RF energy to 'scar' my heart.

Thanks everybody for the birthday messages here and on FB. You all made me feel so special I had a fantastic time scrapbooking in Big Bear. I got alot done and enjoyed the time away. I slept really good every night...its amazing not having to be on seizure alert all night long, which is when Parker has 90% of his seizures, so needless to say I sleep very lightly most of the time, ready to dash into his room.
They bring in massage therapists to the Bed & Breakfast, so I signed up for a 20 minute chair massage Fri & Sat and also got a 20 minute foot reflexology on Sat evening....HEAVEN! Both therapists commented I am a complete bag of knots in my neck & shoulders. They said this was probably causing my headaches & spasms, so I decided to finally get the PT my doctor recommended back in December, that I just haven't had time to do. It's amazing how you get used to the pain and just deal with it, but I'm tired of that and will put myself first for a month or so
I'm knee deep in auction baskets & items and am heading into crunch time, getting them all done by 5/21! Thank you to those who donated to Parker's epilepsy walk team You made my day! not very often. I have seen a few there over the last year or so and other's I have seen had broken zippers or closures. Supposedly if you take them to Dooney, they will fix them for free...but I've never done that, not even for 50% off. This one is in perfect shape and still has all the plastic & strap coverings on it. It's the 50th small bucket bag. I have to talk myself down everytime I look at it...its so cute!! I never got a 50th one...not that I need it anyway.

Great find! I'd want to keep it too. I think they have a 1 year warranty to be repaired for free.

Jill that was a great find on the Dooney! That is the only one I have! I love that Design and that is the one I got for my anniversary last year! I love it and have yet to actually use it LOL. I am kind of a one purse person and use my regular purse on a daily basis and then I have a backpack I use when I go to the parks so I have that for when I go somewhere "nice" but with our financial situation we haven't gone anywhere "nice" since I got it LOL. But I know I will use it eventually

Good tv on last night. For my survivor and Idol girls it was awesome I thought!! I am really excited to watch the survivor finale on Sunday! Can't wait to see what happens. I think it is going to be really interesting to see how it works out cuz it could go any number of ways and it is certainly not a shoe in! I know a lot of people don't like Rob but I am voting for him because although I didn't like him his first season I grew to like him when he got with Amber and I think he has played a good game and he has done it enough I think he deserves to win. And I thought the kids did really well on idol last night but I personally think Haley needs to go home tonight. Will be interesting to see what happens!! Am really excited and interested to see who is going to win that one too!! All my shows are coming to an end soon! I watch the event and that has been really good and I think the finale is in another week or so although I don't know that it will be back next year. It was pretty slow most of the year and didn't start getting good till the end and I fear it wasn't good enough to warrant another season. And Biggest Loser has been really good and that is almost over as well too.

Within another week or so all my shows will be over for the year. Probably a good thing cuz we are getting pretty busy with swim and we have our trip coming up.

I finally went in to work yesterday and I am having some problems with my new computer It is actually with Quick Books and I am thinking it is a compatibility problem with Windows 7. SO frustrating. With my old laptop it was SO old that it barely would run and now it runs quicker but now some things don't work with the newer operating system so it is just SO frustrating. And the CPA we use it just worthless. He doesn't come in at all anymore and I am pretty much on my own and it is just SO frustrating. I am basically trying to wing it on a program that I have never really had any training on and it is just VERY frustrating. So it was a rough day yesterday.

I was DEF glad to get home LOL.

Today is just chores and unfortunately I have to go back in because we have payroll taxes due but I can do that over the phone so it shouldn't be too bad. I just know that the LESS time I am at work the less stress headaches I have been having so I have been trying to spend as little time there as I can!

Am really looking forward to the weekend with nothing going on. Just wish it wasn't going to RAIN! I was really hoping the girls and I could get out of the house and go do something. But at least we can bundle up and watch some movies or something. At least we don't have to go anywhere LOL.

How is everyone? I haven't read back on the thread. Hope you are all doing well. Tomorrow I am taking a day off of work and am going on a studio tour of the Disney office in Burbank and Glendale. I'm really excited because I have never been to either one. I can't wait!

My hip hop class is going well. I think I am getting better (or at least that is what my teacher tells me). lol. It was funny because the teens in the class asked me on Monday: "Do you drive? Do you have a car?" and I said: "Yes." Then they said: "Really? You can drive?" and I laughed and said: "How old did you think I was??" They said: "I don't know, I thought you were 16." I said: "I'm 30." Their facial expression turned to "What?? You're 30? I thought you were 16!!" They said they thought I was a teenager the whole time. It's a good thing if I don't look like the old witch from Snow White or something.

I'll try to take pics of my tour tomorrow. I was told that interior pics are prohibited but the outdoor areas are fine. I'll do my best to get pics.

Saturday one of my best friends is graduating and throwing a luncheon party. I am so proud of her. She is a few months older than me but she managed to go to school full time and work to get her BA. It's also her b-day early next week and also my cousin's is on the same day.

I've been going crazy trying to find my cousin a gift. She is a zombie lover and plays L4D a lot. I'm thinking of getting something zombie-ish online for her.

It's an NY exclusive vinyl that is sold at the Disney Store in Time Square I really like it and think Minnie looks cute.

Speaking of which...I had to laugh when on another timeshare website that I frequent, someone was snickering a little about how every post on the DVC disboard forum ends with "sending pixie dust to all". Pretty funny really. Those non disney lovers just don't understand the power of pixie dust


Jill, totally envious of your 55th bucket bag. That is awesome, and even more so since you are donating it. Now, that would be hard to do!! Is there an online auction that those of us not attending can participate in?


Good Luck on the 21st! It is coming up soon. I know, because we are having our very 1st Hands & Voices walk the same day. I have been on the committee and it is tons of work, but really cool to see it all come together. So here is my shameless plug, and link if you car to donate. (I know we do all have our projects we support, but I always want to support everyone I know at least a little and I wouldn't feel right if I didn't offer the opportunity) It is so difficult when you have a special needs child and you feel so alone in dealing with the issues. A support system to help these families is so critical. I know that my hard of hearing son would not be having the educational success that he is having if we had not gotten the help and support from Hands & Voices.
Anyhow, I hope you don't mind my sharing. And I hope that you all will consider me a friend that you can share with too. I will always support you if I can in some small way. After all, it does take a village

You're in for a long wait. When mine went missing it took lots of emails to Photobucket to get it back. They told me they are doing updates.

Good tv on last night. For my survivor and Idol girls it was awesome I thought!! I am really excited to watch the survivor finale on Sunday! Can't wait to see what happens.

I enjoyed both shows. I don't care who wins AI as long as it's James. As for Survivor, I can't believe it's almost over! For some reason though, this season didn't really thrill me.

You'll be in my old stompin grounds. I used to live in Glendale when I first got married, and then we moved to Burbank for a couple years. It's been awhile since I've been back to either place.
