Hi ladies! I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day weekend. I worked Friday and Saturday (I'm a part-time Interp at the Vancouver Aquarium), and Sunday I got to relax at home. :)

Trudi-We arrive on the Sunday, and leave on Saturday, so unfortunately we won't actually be in the parks that day. :sad1: It would be fun to see you again though! I think Sunday is the Candlelight Processional, so it's probably going to be really busy that night. I'm not ready for that level of crowd yet! One day...

Steph-I hope your surgery will be quick and successful! :flower3:

Beth-Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! Can't wait to see some pics!

Chris-Hi there! My mom wanted to say 'thanks' for the wonderful shoulder massage you gave her at the Meet & Greet!:goodvibes

Hopefully I can catch up later in the week, but for now, I'm caught up thru the end of pg 167.

I am on jury duty. I got assigned. I am juror #2. So I'm going to be super scarce until this is over. We are gone this weekend for my niece & nephew's 4th b-day party. And to top it off, I have a sick cat, so life is just too much fun here right now. Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

Not quite caught up but thought I'd give you a review of my last 2 weeks. PTA convention in Long Beach Wed-Sun, Work Mon & Tues, Girl Scout Meeting Wed, Thurs-Sun San Francisco with my girly scouts for the Golden Gate bridging. and right back to work again today.

I just want to sleep in my own bed and not take care of anyone else for a day or two!

I'm famous though! I was quoted in the local newspaper! hehe

Fun! I used to know someone who lived in San Dimas.....

Hi Chris!

Happy Birthday, Jill. Enjoy your special day!!!

Ditto this, Jill!

I wanted to let you all know that I'm scheduled for my heart surgery on Thursday. I'll be back home on Friday. The surgery isn't very invasive (thankfully). They are going in with catheters and using RF energy to 'scar' my heart.

Take care, talk to you soon.

Steph

Eep! I will keep you in my thoughts! Please check in with someone as soon as you can so we know how it went!

Evening Ladies. :goodvibes

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Josh, the kids, and I just got back from a long weekend in Palm Springs. We had a great time.

I'll be thinking of you on Thursday.:goodvibes It's pretty amazing that surgerys can be done nowadays without much invasion. Such a big step from the past.

Candlelight crowds are almost unbearable !

I've never had jury duty but would love to have it. Let us know if you get an interesting case.

Steph, I know how nerve-wracking this can be, but you'll do great! If you ever want to talk, now or during recovery, just PM me or call me. I'll be sending you strong healing thoughts on Thursday.

 Thanx Andrea. The dr put Michayla on clonidine for sleeping & guess what......we're getting a little sleep at night!! Makes a huge difference in attitudes.....lol

Our next biggie we're facing is we found out that Shyann is allergic to: eggs, wheat, milk, soy, peanuts & some enviromental things......so now to figure out what she can eat & getting her a healthy balance.

Morning all!

Steph good luck to you on Thurs and will be praying for a safe surgery and healing thoughts!! Keep us informed as soon as you are able!!

Lisa it sounds like you have a lot on your plate! Good luck with jury duty. I haven't been on a jury since I was in my twenties but I did enjoy it at the time however I have taken the pass since I have kids since I don't have any type of daycare and it would be a hardship for me to try and have someone watch my kids for me. I seem to get a notice though every few years so once they are out of school and older I am sure I will end up having to do it again eventually LOL.

I have been looking at Beth's pics on FB and it looks like she had an AMAZING trip!!

Laurie glad you were able to get something for the sleeping for Michalya but wow the allergies. What did the doctor say? I hope they can give you some ideas! That is going to be tough I am sure to make sure she stays away from all those things!! Good luck and ((hugs))

I ended up not doing much except a bunch of chores round here yesterday. I am still resisting going to the doctor for my neck/back. After all the bad experiences I have had lately with various doctors I just REALLY am not in the mood to deal with any. So I have just been doing the whole ice/heat thing and trying to rest as much as possible and my muscle is better so I am hoping maybe that is all I need! I found out from Katy yesterday that her field trip to the capitol was cancelled due to no drivers again. I am so bummed for her and her class because first of all Shelby had one the same day and I have only been able to go on one of Shelby's and had promised her I would chaperone her's but since Katy's was on the same day I HAD to do her's because I KNEW they never have enough drivers and now it is too late to get in on Shelby's because like always they have WAY too many. I jokingly (but not really) said to Shelby's teacher that maybe some of THOSE extra parents might want to volunteer to drive for Katy's class. But of course THAT won't happen. So now both 4th grades and the other 5th grade are all going to get to go and Katy's class has to stay behind. So not fair! I just don't see why the teachers won't ask some of the parents from the other classes to help out. I know if the situation were reversed I certainly would drive for one of the other classes! I can't believe they are going to let this happen. :(

I am honestly glad that the girls are almost done with this school. There have been so many things that this school has done that just really annoys me. My friend that I walk with is a substitute teacher at one of the other local schools and when I hear about the stuff that they do at her school as well as some of the other local elementarys I am just amazed at how LAME our school is. But anyway off my soapbox!

I ended up not going in to work yesterday and so will probably go in today. Otherwise not too much going on. Just counting down the days till school is out and we can FINALLY go on vacation!!! Will be 30 days on Thursday!!!

Hi ladies!

I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day. It was my only day off this week so I made sure I got a lot of rest and had a nice brunch with my family.

Life has been crazy busy. I signed up for extra hours at work and I have been getting them. It's nice because I really could use the extra money. I have full custody of Maddie now and I have zero time to myself lol. It's nice knowing she is with me pretty much all the time, but I need to get better time management skills.

I miss you all and I miss chatting here.

Happy belated Birthday Jill! :yay::woohoo::yay:

Steph, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I finally got up over 200 of them on FB. Whew!
(hmmm, am I friends with everyone here on FB?? I can't even remember anymore. LOL I'm getting old!)

Welcome Home Beth!! We missed you!! I love all the pics on FB and it looks like a you had a very nice, relaxing trip. You're a good looking bunch :).

Laurie, So glad to hear you are doing better. :flower3:

Carol, the Mouse Meet sounds really cool. Everyone who is going, have a wonderful time with each other! :grouphug:

Gotta run! Planning a shower with friends today. :grouphug:

Ditto. Dmitri. Just sayin'

I am in love with Quinn :cloud9: I would take him in a heartbeat...

Beth~ If you ever need a good books to read, my library is open. I have tons!

Lisa~ That stinks about jury duty coming at a bad time. I've always wanted to be called. They finally did in 2008 while my hubby was deployed so I had to decline due to child care issues. I am still waiting...I think it would be neat to get picked. I hope your case is interesting at least!

I cannot believe that in 2 weeks I will be giving my first final! Some of the grades of my students are making me nervous so I have been drilling them with review. Hopefully it pays off.

I title this next little story, "Hot CHIP and Jen." So my registration was up in February, but I never recieved paperwork in the mail. Come March I realized that it had not been paid, but money was tight (there was DL and all! hehehe) so I let it slip and forgot about it. Well, yesterday I was driving - stuck in bumper to bumber traffic on the freeway - and I had my cell down at my thigh checking my calendar. When I look up, a CHIP on a motorcycle had just passed me. Crap! I tossed my phone in my center consel and focused on keeping him ahead of me so he wouldn't see my expired tags. Well, a break came in traffic and I had no choice but to pull forward a little bit and he pulled behind me and flashed his lights. Crap crap. He probably saw me on my phone AND my tags. Great! When he comes up to my window he tells me that he is just issuing a fix it ticket for the tag instead of fining me and tells me I can have it signed off by any cop, but not Roseville PD cause "they are kind of mean." :rotfl: One of my good friends is a Sgt. with Roseville PD and I tell him that he can sign off for me, no problem. So CHIPer writes me the ticket and returns. He crouches down and starts chatting with me about my police friend and then starts asking me about my tattoos. He wanted to share a story about tattoos with me and ask me where I go. I was pretty lucky I didn't get a fine and at least I was able to have something hot to stare out during my ordeal. haha:car: BTW...reg was paid this morning, now I just need to get it smogged.
