I shipped a box of clothes and toiletries to Florida today for our upcoming trip to WDW. I'd rather pay a little more with FedEx and not have to hazzle a checked bag. That way I know it's there before I even leave! I am getting excited for our trip! Although I have been told I need a bathing suit

I also sent off the Magical Express vouchers and luggage tags to my compadres.

Your weather sounds nuts! Sorry about the roof leak although thank goodness it was confined to the garage.

I'm getting excited for your trip too, and I'm not going! I know you all are going to have fun, but I really can't wait to hear what first-timers Callie and Courtney think!

I had to make some bank deposits and when I was driving over there there was a car just stopped in the middle of the road with the lights on and blocking the entire lane. I thought it was really odd but it was a side street so I didn't know if the person was on the phone or doing something else so I just went around them and then when I looked in my rear view it kind of looked like the person was slumped over. I wondered if I should go back and see if they were ok but instantly thought about those scams where you do that and then people grab you or rob you so I was kind of apprehensive and as I drove a bit further wondering how to handle it the car behind me stopped so I went on to the bank and decided that after I made the deposits I would drive back by and if they were still there I would see if they needed help.
Sure enough when I drove back by about 10 mins later no one was there so obviously it must not have been anything but it was really weird and eerie!!

I like the supernatural but it also kind of scares me!! I am kind of glad that it stopped at my place cuz when I would be home alone it would freak me out sometimes.

I think it's good you didn't stop. You just never know these days. I hate to be one of those people who is always afraid to get involved, but at the same time you hear about all sorts of weird things. If I was in a situation like that and I was really worried, I'd call 911 and tell them what I'd seen, but I would not get out. I'm willing to help, but not by taking a chance with my own safety. Listen to your gut, if something feels "off" chances are, it is.

So you like supernatural, huh?? We need a Diva trip to New Orleans and take their haunted tour! That would be awesome! Have you ever seen the movie, "Skeleton Key" with Kate Hudson. I love that movie. It's creepy, but good.

I made a carrot cake tonight with cream cheese frosting and my house smells so good now!! I had my teenage son help me grate the carrots, lol, and it was fun to watch. Let's just say he doesn't spend much time in the kitchen usually. It was cute.

There is a neighborhood wide yard sale coming up next month (our HOA only allows pre-planned sales twice yearly). Anyway, the kids were saying I should do some baking and set up a bake sale table the day of the yard sale.
I don't know though...... Do people buy baked items at yard sales??? I thought they'd just be on the hunt for cheapo household items and such.

Hmmm, I'll have to think about it I guess.



Well ladies, I am already ready for bed! I've been staying up way too late the past couple nights and it's catching up to me now.

I for one (esp at neighborhood sales) would likely buy baked goods while garage saling. Most esp if I could get like a piece of coffee cake or a muffin and a cup of coffe or hot cocoa. I have also been known to buy cookies & breads to take home to the family.

Your rainbow cupcakes were so pretty. I do something like that but instead of layering each color I drop small spoonfuls of each color over and over and it ends up looking like a mosiac. I make them every Easter. I found really cute cupcake holders at Walmart today so I can't wait to make them.

Sorry for your loss

I went out for craft night tonight with some ladies from church. We started working on these beautiful spring wreaths. When I finish I will post a picture - they are so cute! The hot glue gun had it out for me and I now have a burn blister on my finger I ended up finding a book wreath to make too so that is next on the list. How about a wreath exchange next year?

The October dates look tempting, but I am not sure it is going to happen this year. I guess I will play it by ear. Good night ladies!

Morning all!

Beth you are so right about that weird occurence yesterday and you are right. I was thinking exactly what you said. When I came back by IF they were still there I was going to just stay in my car and call 911 on my cell and even thought about that at first had the first car not stopped but I figured IF it really had been a problem they surely would have still been there when I came back by since I was only at the bank a few minutes. So I am glad that it most likely wasn't a problem. I usually ALWAYS stop or call but that whole thing just seemed really off to me and now after watching so much stuff on tv I am really leery LOL.

Anyway had to get up again at 5:30 as today is Katy's day that she tutors at school and MAN am I having a heck of a time adjusting to the time change this time! I usually have no problem getting up but this time I am just dragging!! I so did NOT want to get up and I went to bed fairly early last night but I think maybe because it is SO dang dark and cold and I just don't want to get out of my nice warm bed LOL. Plus the fact that it is howling like crazy outside doesn't help

Gotta get all my chores done today as we have to leave EVEN earlier tomorrow. I have to take Shelby to our friend's house BEFORE I go to the school with Katy and then we are all going down on buses and we have to leave the school RIGHT at 7. They sent us home a flier saying the buses won't wait so we better be there LOL. Then I got the info yesterday about shelby's recital on Friday and he also gave her a CD from the LAST recital which is ironic because that was like 6 months ago LOL. But it is neat because it lists their songs and their names so it is a nice keepsake.

Anyway that is it for me. Hope everyone has a good day and for anyone in this neck of the woods don't get blown or washed away!!

They have the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review but it's a dinner show... Very enjoyable (even Hubby said he would go back to that! Although that could be due to the all you drink wine!)

Yeah Beth we have rain on the forecast as far out as it goes! BLEH!! I am SOOOO ready for some sun! I feel like I am back in Seattle again LOL.

I have ALWAYS wanted to go to New Orleans but alas don't think I will be going much of anywhere anytime soon. I am just hoping our trip this summer happens and of course the two Disney trips later in the year (Oct and the ladies trip). With the economy and our finances NOTHING is set in stone at this point. Mom really wanted us to go to her place in Mexico but Shane has missed SO much work I don't see it happening. Even with the free place to stay we still have to get airline tickets and right now those are OUTRAGOUS! Then of course there is food and "extras" so who knows.

It is fun though to live vicariously through everyone else but it still makes you want to go though!!

Oh and Beth I was going to mention that if I saw your yummy stuff for sale I would DEF buy some and I am on a diet!! Your stuff always looks SO yummy I am SURE you would get people to buy it!! And hey it would be Disney spending money!!
