I had a bit of a tough weekend. I got a call at work Friday afternoon from my uncle saying that my cousin had just been killed in a hit and run. So I've spent the weekend in bed. (thanks for not being too chatty this weekend!)

You know one of the things I love about these critters is they are nocturnal...sleep all day. They wake up around 5pm and want to play. by this time Colton is done with homework dinner is usually started so their playtime works into our schedule perfectly. Just before we go to bed we feed them and get some shuteye. Just don't put them in your bedroom...they are up all night so they can be disruptive to your sleep

I checked out the hotel website and it's reviews on tripadvisor. It seems really nice! I love the courtyard with the greenery, fountains, and statues. Very pretty. The location sounds perfect, and the rooms are nice looking. The brick.....love it!
The prices weren't horrible either. Some nights as low as $98. Okay, some nights were over $300, lol, but still if your dates worked out, you could get a great deal.

Have a great time there in July. Are you traveling just for a fun get-away?

We are staying there after visiting relatives in Mobile, AL for a 50th wedding anniversary! We got good prices and I love the fact it is one block from Cafe du Monde - can you say beignets!

I love all things Disney. I have made 2 trips to DL. The first I went with a friend for 3 days and then 2 days solo and the second trip was 3 days solo. I bought an AP right from the start. I am planning my next trip for June for my birthday. I am wishing my birthday was not in summer but oh well! I am scared of the crowds!

Hey Paula, I just wanted to say that I had some time so I took a peek at your trip reports. I think you and your husband are so cute together!! You took exactly the type of WDW trip I want to take, just me and my hubby with lots of good food! And how neat you were able to work it out for him to spend time with one of the chefs!

I also wanted to say I loved you and your friend's costume ideas for the DL Halloween party. They looked easy, comfortable and still very clever!

Hi Everyone! My name is Paula and I am very hopeful I can join you all next year! I could kick myself for not going this past year when I could have used my AP! I've requested vacation for the time of the trip so we will see if it gets approved!

Thanks for the Welcome! I should know this weekend if my time off is approved or if I need to try and find someone to cover me. Unfortunately I work every other weekend and that just happens to hit my weekend on otherwise it would probably be no problem to be off. I heard someone else talking about taking time that week so I am hoping I got my request in first!

As far as the hubby... he just doesn't get it but oh well. It's not going to stop me from making new friends!

Welcome aboard! I am new too and 2012 will be my first Diva trip. I hope you get your time off and can come too! Too bad your AP expires Oct 13th...but if you decide to renew it and stay a couple of days there is a mini Diva meet that I will be there for! Currently we have several divas with overlapping family trips and some local ladies joining us Sunday October 16th (that may change as it gets closer but that is where it is now) My family will be arriving Oct 11 (hoping for a Tues party the day we arrive) so if you have to go before the 13th
and are there while I am would love to meet another new Diva and have another person I have met outside the box (the computer). My hubby has learned if I get caught up on the DIS to remind me it is time to make dinner !

Sherri, I've been following your trip report so I feel like I kinda know you already! If I do renew my AP it probably won't be till the Diva trip but you never know!

I'm one of the new ones! I'd love to just say I'll come... it's the finances and vacation from work holding me back but hopefully everything will work out!

It's exactly the type of trip I want to take with hubby again... I just need to convince him! He did say about 2 weeks ago that he wanted the Goat's Town salad from Raglan Road so I need to convince him we need to get there before they take it off the menu! (If they haven't already!)

Our costumes were super easy and comfortable! I plan on reusing mine next year if the shirt fits (trying to lose weight!)

I've been okay... just my laptop decided to stop working so I had to send it out for repairs! (Which did not make me happy since I paid for an in-home repair warranty but they said they couldn't do my repair in home )

It's my kids first day of spring break so it's been a lazy day around here. My ds10 made the other kids waffles for breakfast and let me sleep until 10:30 which was great! I work at 4 and my brother(17) is coming to spend the night with the kids so they'll have fun, I'm sure.

All caught up! Today I tackle Laundry Mountain. Kinda like Space Mountain, but way scarier and possibly bigger. LOL Already did the grocery shopping. Bleh. Making a chicken casserole for dinner. We SAW THE SUN for a while today! <faint> We are expecting mostly rain for the next 5-7 days. Bleh, bleh, bleh. My poor plants. My freesia in back bloomed just before we got the last frost last week, so they look like h-e-double-toothpicks. The freesia out front are ready to bloom. I have half a dozen rosebuds on the bush out front and new growth budding on my hibiscus. I can't remember the last time I wasn't out gardening by now and certainly can't remember the last time my furnace was still running in SPRING. It IS Spring, right? LOL!

Back to domestic duty. BBL
