Haha, man, the bad thing about easter is not being able to eat the chocolate bunnies. And of course my family never remembered I can't have chocolate. So my sister always got double the baskets.

:woohoo: So I'm happy right now. I finally remembered to reserve a room for Labor Day/Half Marathon weekend. I kept putting it off. I'm going with HOJOs again. Now I just have to find the friends to go with me.

I think Wendylady is doing that too--not sure if she already has roomies but you might want to PM her. Maybe she will shave her underarms for you.

I was thinking of going down and doing the Family Fun Run.... Trish was thinking of going too, but her AP is blocked that weekend. I'm trying to talk another friend into going, but not having much luck.

Jell-o shots, cupcakes and hot firemen!? This must be heaven. :cloud9:
Pretty darn close! :thumbsup2

Jen was actually talking about doing a Easter Basket exchange while we were at Napa Rose. Maybe another exchange is in order :rolleyes1.
You know, I thought about that. I've done Easter/Spring exchanges before on the main exchange board of the DIS but was hesitant to mention it here because I wasn't sure if y'all would be worn out from the trip. But then again, Easter is much later this year. End of April I think. Hmmmm......... :scratchin
Anyone else interested? :confused3

Well I'm off to the Urgent Care. We'll see how many pages go by once I get home and settled .
Good luck. I hope Adara's eye clears up quickly, and Devin's migraine goes away fast. Do they give meds for that?

Why can't you eat chocolate? Allergic?
I bet your sis was real happy though.

Maybe she will shave her underarms for you.
:lmao:

For some reason my response to Becci didn't show up, but we will be at DLR from Sunday afternoon-noonish on Wednesday. Hope to run into you!

:cool1: We plan to be there at 8am to avoid the crowds. That is also the morning of the time change so it will really be 7am!! But we are going to pull ourselves out of bed and get there early to avoid the crowds that will come later in the day . . .

I'll be there on Sunday :thumbsup2.

Awesome!!

We will be hard to miss - we are bringing Jack's Service Dog for the first time. :)

Afternoon gals!!

Jess thanks SO much for saying yes to the siggie! You are so sweet!! I just hope that I will be able to figure out how to actually put it IN my signature once it is made LOL.

Lisa that bunny is so cute! Gosh I can't believe it is almost easter. I was waiting and waiting for this little sweater to go on sale for Katy's easter dress and I picked it up yesterday. I still can't believe it is already almost the middle of march.

We just got back from the ortho and for those of you who remember about Katy's hand we got the all clear and she is good to go!! No problems with her growth plate and that is the last apt so YAY!!

Katie good luck at the urgent care. My kids have gotten pink eye LOADS of times. Katy gets it ALL the time for some reason. I don't know if it has anything to do with her being a red head and having more sensitive skin or whatever but she seems to be easily allergic to stuff on her skin and she seems to get it much easier than the other kids.

And when she DOES get it it gets BAAAAAD! She had to not only do the drops but also oral antibiotics.

And I DEF sympathize with your poor son on the migraines. I am a migraine sufferer myself and take 4 different preventatives a day for them. They will most likely give him an imitrex shot although not sure if they do that with kids. That is what they give me and it works REALLY well. Whatever they do I hope it helps quickly for him because I KNOW how miserable they can make you!! In the future if he gets one excedrin migraine works great if he can catch it before it gets bad and ice packs on the back of the neck and a cold cloth on the eyes helps and of course a dark room with no movement or distractions. If he gets them a lot he might want to journal to see what his triggers are. Topomax is also a really good preventative drug and I know that teens can take it. Good luck to him and I hope both your kiddos are feeling better.

Well gals don't talk TOO much or I'll never catch up LOL.

I am off to get dinner together and watch Idol and then tomorrow I have a busy day at work. We have a Master's Club luncheon as well as my normal work to do. Then next week my parents are living for their place in Mexico for 2 weeks which is always stressful for me as I have to housesit and hold down the fort at work so a little stressed about that but the girls have min days next week for teacher conferences so I am looking forward to spending some time with them and then the following week is Katy's field trip to SF and I am chaperoning so REALLY looking forward to that.

Anyway have a great evening and talk soon! :)

And I will definitely check out your TR with my girls. Although, they might decide they want to go live with you........especially if there is baby horse on the way!!

Not one total just one any time now Rowan wants to have hers early and we have been trying to get her to hold off until the weather gets better...by the end of summer we will have a total of 5 in the family, 2 from my horses, 2 from my mothers horses and 1 from my sisters horse LOL

Hi, welcome aboard !!! Where in Ventura County did you live. I grew up in Simi.

I lived in Simi most of my life Went to Crestview Elementry, Hillside Jr High and Royal High School..graduated in 1985. Spent part of my High School years in Ventura as well but came back to graduate in Simi.

Hi Sherri and Welcome! I live in Simi now! I met my Prince Charming :lovestrucwhile vacationing at WDW 4 years ago this July, he lived here and I lived in Denver. We long distance dated for a year and then I decided to move out here. If you are ever in the area visiting and you can get away let me know and we could meet for coffee or lunch! It's always nice to meet a couple of the ladies from this group before the trip, I know I appriceated the opportunity.

Our next California trip is set for October so I would love a mini meet when the dates firm up we will have to set something up for all the Simi Divas.

Pretty darn close! :thumbsup2

I would be in on an Easter exchange...gotta do my first someday right..I could send someone something uniquely Montana in their basket like Buffalo jerky or something.

Afternoon gals!!

My oldest daughter Amy redhead/ pale skin was my ONLY kid to get Pink Eye and she got it often...I never thought about that being a factor interesting idea

Sherri it is so funny I don't know what it is but Katy seems to be REALLY susceptible to stuff like that and I probably should have her tested for allergies! When she was little she used to break out in a rash when she ate ranch dressing. She would get all red around her mouth!! Weird! Then we would put skin so soft on her to keep from getting bit from mosquitos and she got a rash! The first time she got pink eye it got so bad her eye completely swole shut and half her head swole up and like I said she had to be on oral antibiotics besides the drops. It was nuts and she has gotten it numerous times whereas my other kids have not gotten it or if they DID gotten a VERY mild case. I don't know if they just have something about them that makes them more vulnerable or what but my girls swim so now I am REALLY on her about major sunscreen because I am so scared for her to get skin cancer!!

Also I noticed you said you graduated HS in 85 so did I!! So we are prob the same age!! :) I will be 44 in June!

Oh and my mom and I are thinking about taking my girls to DL in Oct do you know what dates you guys were thinking about going? That would be so fun if we were there at the same time. We could meet before the ladies trip!! And hopefully maybe some of the other local divas could meet as well and we could get to know you before the diva trip!! :)

Currently looks like we will arrive at DL the 5th of October and leave the 11th then it is off to Arizona to get ready for my daughter's Halloween Nightmare Before Christmas inspired wedding LOL gotta love her really The wedding cake with the purple & black ribbons is going to be really lovely.

I can't help myself, I have to share this for those who didn't see it on FB:

Hola chicas!:flower3:

I read all the chatter today...but forgot what I was gonna say. I guess I shouldn't dis and watch the Lakers and do surveys all at the same time. Multi-tasking isn't my strong suit.

Beth--yummy cupcakes and oooo yes hot firemen! I like the chubster in the front. Yes, I like em meaty

That chocolate bunny is adorable. I may have to pick one up.

Pink eye is no bueno. I had it several times as a kid and that gunk that comes out is annoying.

Kelly--gldad your daughter's hand is doing okay. What happened to it?

To the divas heading to Disneyland this weekend, have a great time! Have a churro for me :goodvibes

That sounds so awesome!:thumbsup2

Oh my gosh Sherri we are practically Twins LOL. My birthday is June 3rd so not sure when in May yours is but pretty close eh? LOL. My dh's is in May but he is 6 years younger (yep I'm a cougar LOL). His is May 29th.

At this point I think we were looking more towards the middle to end of Oct which is a bummer cuz that would have been really cool to meet you!! I think that first weekend is columbus day which equals crowds and I know mom doesn't like to do crowds so I think we were thinking the next weekend. Bummer! Well you will have fun!! I have been to the Halloween party at DL twice once in 07 and in 09 and am REALLY looking forward to doing it at DL. It was at DCA the two times I went before and mom has never done it at DL. We went to the DW version in 05 and loved it!! I didn't ask but assume you are going to the party?? If not you should because it is a BLAST!!!

And your daughter's wedding sounds really fun. I have seen some theme weddings online and on tv and they look really neat! I am sure it will be lots of fun! :)

Looking forward to meeting you next year and also getting to know you better on the thread!! :)

And PS Jess LOVE the parmesean and also LOVED your video!! You rock!! ;)

Hi January!! :wave2: Katy got hurt playing soccer and broke her hand in October and we had to go back to the orthopedic doc to check on the growth plates to make sure as it healed it hadn't affected her growth. Luckily it was fine so that was good! She has been having a clumsy streak lately. Last month she stepped on a stick and impaled her foot and it became infected and we had a big mess with that so she has been having QUITE the excitement as have I. It's a long story but I had a horrible doctor and we had to switch but luckily she is all healed and we seem to have better docs now so I think things are FINALLY back to normal!! :goodvibes

How are YOU doing today!! :flower3:

A tag pity party, I can see it now.
I will sign up for that! 10 years and NOTHING!

Jen was actually talking about doing a Easter Basket exchange while we were at Napa Rose. Maybe another exchange is in order :rolleyes1.
Hey yeah, where is Jen with her Easter exchange? I thought she was doing that for sure.

Bridget, you are the queen of Vacation Planning events! Thanks for doing all of that!

It looks like next year's trip is going to be quite the event, with all the newbies from this year wanting to come back plus everyone who couldn't make it this year, and more newbies! I am sure we will break 50. The new thread reminds me of having a new coloring book and a new box of crayons! Everything starts off fresh.

Hi Kelly! Oh my what a scare your daughter had. She seems like a tough cookie, just like her momma.:thumbsup2 I am glad she's gonna be okay.

I am pretty good, can't complain. :goodvibes Thanks for asking!
We had an awesome storm here tonight with a double rainbow at the end. So cool!!
