This is probably a nerdy question.

If you own DISUnplugged merchandise, do you wear it in the parks? We're going down for the Half Marathon in October; unfortunately, we can't make any of the meets because of MNSSHP and our plane tickets. However, we're going to be out and about at AKL and BWI and in the parks. Is it too geeky an idea to wear DISUnplugged merchandise in case there are other DIS'ers out there?

(And no, I don't look good at all in lime green)

I've worn my DISUnplugged shirt from time to time at DL and WDW with no comments from anyone familiar with the show. I used to have lime green Mickey Mouse icon key chains on my backpack, but one of our cats chewed off the ears.

I wore my DisUnplugged TShirt during our last trip December 2009 no one recognized it. I had a lime green mickey a few years ago and someone noticed and said hello.

I quite often wear my DISunplugged shirts. Not a ton of recognition. My favorite though was a guy that asked if I was the creator of the website. After I of course explained I was not, he said..."Too bad, I thought I could have met a celebrity."

I would definitely wear my DIS Unplugged gear in the parks, and have! I've never gotten recognition outside of a DIS event (DISaplaooza, Podcast Cruise, etc), but it's a nice way to sort of hang a banner out and see if you can find fellow listeners.

I wore my dis tee shirt last September and some one from the boards came up to me and said nice shirt and her board name it was cool to meet someone else in the park.

I don't think it's a nerdy question.
I would wear my disunplugged tee shirt if I didn't shrink it in the wash. I think I will have to buy a tee shirt & a hoody.
ps. On one of our trips to epcot I saw a man with a disunplugged shirt on
going into some unmarked mystery door in spaceship earth. I was curious where that door lead.

I don't have any yet but now I want to get one so I CAN wear it in the parks. I'm happy to be a geeky DIS-nerd :)

Jimmy & I always wear our DISUnplugged stuff! :disrocks:

We've gotten a few comments during our trips, but usually just in passing. When we were in line for RnRC, some guy tapped his wife on the shoulder and said 'you listen to that, don't you?' She just nodded and smiled, that's it! LOL While walking around Epcot one year, during F & W, someone just yelled from across the walkway 'Hey, DIS people!' The best, though, was one year, while walking into the Great Movie Ride, the CM stopped and asked us about it - his Mom is a DISer! So, I tracked her down on the boards (I think she's mostly on the DVC boards) to tell her that her son said 'hello'! :)

Wear your gear and be proud!! :cool2:

I wear my pin and lanyard all the time in the parks. I have been noticed by CMs on a few occasions. They were alway very enthusiastic about the Dis.

my DIS unplugged shirts, lanyard and pin are a staple of my WDW vacation wardrobe! I don't think it is geeky at all. Those that get it, get it and might flag you down and start up a conversation. Those that don't know what it means, well they just don't get it. ;)

I've worn my DIS gear in the parks ever since I've started DISing. But it seems as though I am with other DISers, and we're recognized for something other than the orange plug logo.....

if I may...

(a quote from the play that I'm in at the moment)

"by reputation sir,
for that handsome good fellow that you were said to be"

:worship:
I still have my Todd-A-Palooza pen from Jamie.
Overheard at our house:
"Grandma that's a special pen. It's Mommy's"
:rotfl2: :lmao: Guess I have her trained.

I've worn my one on the cruise - good way to be recognised by other Dis'ers.

I've also worn it in the parks. CM at Epcot turnstile said "great show, I listen to it too".

I'm taking my tshirt on my trip next month and I'll be wearing it proudly to show my support of the best podcast out there.

I just ordered a dis unplugged tank and hopefully will wear it to meet the other
dis'ers in October.:goodvibes

I don't usually wear my T-shirt in the park, but it has become my travel shirt. I wear it to and from Orlando on the plane trips. Not noticed by anyone yet. :sad1:
