Distance from Waterfront to Meadows Trading Post

How far a walk is this? I want to watch the Fourth of July Parade from Meadows Trading Post, I think. I am coming over by boat from the Grand Floridian. Is in front of Meadows a good spot. Thank you!

hmmmm... I had planned fastpasses for the 4th in the morning returning to FW in the afternoon and perhaps going to EC at night for the fireworks only.

I'm wondering if we shouldn't just stay at FW for the parade. The activities at the beach also sound interesting. Any more information what goes on there? More importantly, what are they going to do with all the carts that will be piling into that area? Will there be more parking available?

1) Seems like a long way (a "right-fir-piece"), huh?
2) But, people do not realize just how big The Fort really is.
3) From Check-in (The Outpost) to Hoop-Dee-Do and Crockett's Tavern (The Settlement), it is over 1-mile as-the-crow-flies.

Thank you. I was originally going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge and bike over, but have switched reservations to Grand Floridian. Without a bike, I have less freedom to move around the campground, so it looks like I will have to take a boat over and walk to a good spot to see the parade. I just want to make sure I arrive in time, because I don't want to miss the parade.
