Distance from port night before

I personally would drive more than 3-4 hours day of cruise. Too much of a risk otherwise.

Ideally, we stay the night before a cruise in the town where the cruise leaves from.

I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to get to PC from Delray Beach...I really want to do the 7 day EC cruise on Fantasy even though it’s a pain in the rear end.

I thought my parents might drive me early in the morning on the Saturday so then they could go to Kennedy Space Center after dropping me off, but I can not count on that.

I COULD take the Brightline from Boca on that Saturday To Orlando airport , and then take a shuttle to PC, but I have no idea when my boarding time would be now, and frankly to me that’s pushing it

What sounds better is leaving work early on Friday and taking the Brightline From Boca to ORL and then just spending the night at some decent hotel close by the PC. Of course I’d have to take a cab to the hotel, which would be very expensive...unless some hotels have shuttles at the airport ? But I think this is the most practical option.

Could you stay at an MCO-area hotel? Not necessarily the Hyatt but there are several in the area with free shuttles to/from MCO. Take the shuttle to the hotel, stay the night and maybe a free breakfast in the morning, shuttle back to MCO and take DCL transfer to Port. You’ll have to run the numbers to see what works best — cheaper hotel near port but high cab fare or slightly more expensive hotel with free airport shuttle.

Yeah, I could ....that makes a lot of sense. I see that there are ORL hotels that have free shuttles to PC, but I‘d rather a cheaper (not cheap) hotel where I could take the shuttle to MCO and then catch the shuttle from MCO to PC than spending another $200 plus at a hotel for the convenience of a direct shuttle to PC
