Distance from Bonnet Creek to CBR

I am staying at Bonnet Creek this May and friends are going to be staying at Caribbean Beach - is it possible to walk from one to the other? I know they are close to each other, but is the distance walkable (with kids) or would we be better off renting a car or hopping a cab?

I don't think it would be walkable, mainly due to the long drive into Bonnet Creek. Maybe there is a cut through, though?

Even though it's right next door, and you can clearly see the CBR buildings from BC, I don't think it's walkable, because I believe there is a fence completely around CBR. You would need to make a big U, walking down the long drive of BC, around the corner to the long drive of CBR.

there is a creek (lagoon) between the two.

you can't walk to it easily. you can walk to the street (and this is a long walk) then walk to CBR - but be very, very carefully this is a busy, busy street.

since it does not see people walking - the drivers won't be watching for you.

I won't do it. just drive over.

When we stayed at CBR we could see the roofs of BC, but as mentioned, not walkable. Why not just arrange to meet up at a park?
Your options for getting to CBR to friends would be taxi, car rental, or taking your resort shuttle bus to Epcot (or DHS), then from Epcot(or DHS) getting the WDW transportation resort bus to CBR.
