For those who untilize them, how long do you use your disposable razor for? I use mine for 6 weeks or more before tossing. They work fine for that long. Husband says to throw them away after the recommended 7 days as the build up bacteria.

I use them until they get too dull, which usually takes months. Longer through the winter when I don't shave my legs as much.

I use them for longer than I should probably, but since the pandemic I have taken to not shaving every day like I used to. I get a couple of months out of them for sure.

Every few weeks, when they start to get a bit dull. Don't want to cut myself with a dull razor. Ouch. I do go through them more quickly in the Spring/Summer when I'm doing my legs every other day or so....

This question has very different answers for men vs women. As a woman, I will use the same razor until the blades start having visible build up or dulling. Usually 2 months? I shave underarms twice a week, legs once, year round.

My husband has extremely coarse hair and shaves daily and shaves his head every other day. He goes through a blade every 2 weeks. He buys expensive Gilette 5 blade razors that last a long time. He'd need a new double blade razor every day otherwise.

Wow! Clearly I am seriously wasting blades. I go through a blade every week. Maybe I have terrible blades? I can never find ones that last. I do not shave every day, but I do have coarse hair. My skin is extremely sensitive.

The guys say disposable is 3 shaves at most and then DH sends his my way because womans are horrendous quality & so even used his discards are better than whatever is sold to woman new IMO. I do try every now and again but I find it's still true, the system has worked for 30 years.

The price has grown ridiculous and quality really slipped in 2020 so I got everyone the safety twist kind with blades that were popular in the 70's so we have both now.

It depends on how often I shave. I replace mine about every 6 weeks or so. The deciding factor is how dull they are or the inability to fully clean the blades. I do agree that the quality has gone down hill in recent years. My most recent set of razors are terrible quality and clog fast with shaving gel/soap to the point where I have to scrub the blade every few passes to clear them. It's ridiculous.

What brand do you use?

I only use disposable razors for trips. So a weekend trip, it goes in the trash. Same with a week long trip. I used to toss my regular razors once a month when I was working and shaving every day. I shave every other day in retirement so keep them 2 months. But I have a very very very heavy beard.

I use my women's Gillette Venus disposable razors for about 6 weeks. My husband uses his Gillette Mach 3 blades for about 3-4 weeks and he has a pretty coarse beard.

Funny, I just read an article about razors. They said 3 uses and then dispose of them for the best results.

I use one until I feel them getting dull. I dry shave my legs...yes I know you shouldn't do that but it's easier for me because I can't wear my glasses in the shower so as to see my legs...so it's really easy to know when a razor is past it's prime.

I replace when dull. I use hot water to wash my blades, which also dulls them more quickly, so I've heard. I also only use them on certain areas of my face, the rest gets the electric. I don't shave my legs, despite the rumors you may have heard about me.

I use mine until it seems like it's dull. My DH shaves everyday and has course hair - he changes his blade once a week.

I use Schick Intuition with the built-in lather. I get about two weeks of daily use out of one - the soap runs out well before the blades are dull.

Depends on what you use them for. Men's facial hair is thicker and tends to dull blades quickly. They can be cleaned, but even when they're thoroughly cleaned with a toothbrush (little bits of hair can get stuck) when the blades dull it can hurt and often there's uneven wear and they leave little nicks in the skin.

When I shaved my legs (it was a thing with bicycling), a few friends recommended this pink "ladies" razors. Said there was something about them that was more suitable for thin hairs. I don't think the blades were any different. I was partial to Bic so I got the ladies version.

I used to change them every month, but I started getting terrible itching in my armpits and decided to see if changing them more often helped. It did. Now I change them every week, which gets expensive!

Probably every 3 weeks but at the end of 3 weeks I don't think they are working great. I shave my legs below the knee every day as well as underarms. Yes, I have slacked off during the pandemic so maybe not as often.
