We Bought Passes For Disneyworld That Don't Expire And We Are Going To Disneyland This Year. Are These Passes Good At Disneyland Also?

The hopper passes work at Disneyland. You have to give them your pass and let them call to verify the days, they take one off and give you a one day hopper. It takes a while for them to do it so make sure you are there extra early.

Wow! This would be very helpful to me because my family has days left on our 10-day no expiration (but not park hopper) Disney World tickets. We never go to Disneyland when we're in SoCal because it seems silly to pay the 70 bucks when we can go to Disney World for a daily rate that works out to less than half. But if we could use our passes . . . .

But I called Disneyland to confirm this, and I got different answers. The first "cast member" said some passes are good and some aren't, but the only way to know was to show up at the turnstile! Obviously, this wasn't a very satisfactory answer (I tried to describe the tickets we have, or speak to a supervisor), but I got nowhere with her. I called back, and another agent said I "should be fine," but didn't seem 100% sure.

So what's the REAL answer? I don't want to show up at Disneyland with the kids and be told we can't get in. That would be either very disappointing or very expensive!

Thanks for the help. BTW, I'm not sure if this thread is in the right forum, so if a moderator wanted to move it, feel free.

I too had the same question. I called DL and was told if they have a no expiration on them they are valid. If it is a hopper it can not be used as a hopper at DL. Just a one park deal.

Hi I just spoke to a Manager at Ticketing for Disneyland. If you have Park Hopper passes (non-expiring) you give them your ticket, they call to verify you have days left on the ticket, they have Disneyworld take a day off in their computer system and give you an admission pass park hopper not a one park You don't use your Disneyworld park hopper pass you use the new one they give you

You will only not get a park hopper if you only have a base ticket Park hoppers will be exchanged for park hoppers :goodvibes

I found this information on Mousesavers.com

Using Walt Disney World Tickets at Disneyland

Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or DCA! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland and/or DCA ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket.

The type of Disneyland ticket you will receive is based on the Walt Disney World ticket you present: if you have a Disney World ticket with the Hopper option, you will get a Disneyland Hopper that allows you to visit both parks in the same day; on the other hand, if the Disney World ticket had no Hopper option, you will get a one-day/one-park ticket and will have to pick which park to enter that day. This information was confirmed as of January 2007.

Disneyland passes are NOT accepted at Walt Disney World, and Annual Passes are only good at the park where they were purchased (WDW Annual Passes are NOT good at Disneyland, and vice versa).

Also, be prepared for the people at the gates to not be familiar with this since it's not widely known or used, you may need them to call a supervisor or go to the Guest Services for help.

Thanks everyone. Unless I hear otherwise, I will try this next month. Disney seems pretty good about honoring these unwritten "policies," so I'm optimistic it will work (albeit perhaps with some initial confusion).

I'm surprised this isn't better known, since I assume there are a lot of no-expiration Disney World tickets floating around, and you'd think that some of those passholders would want to use them at Disneyland -- especially since the one-day rates for non-locals are pretty punishing.

BTW, I presume this would NOT work at the Disneylands in Paris, Tokyo or Hong Kong?
