I’m planning a trip between May 1st and May 4th, with my wife and 2 3year old twins

what will be preferable?

Sunday, May 3rd: Animal Kingdom
Monday, May 4th: Hollywood Studios
+ we think less people on Monday for Hollywood Studios

Or

Sunday, May 3rd: Hollywood Studios (Magic hours)
Monday, May 4th: Animal Kingdom (Magic hours)

Thanks

I have mixed thoughts.

Generally without hoppers I dont think magic hours are a good thing as far as crowds. Guests go to those thinking, "longest hours=more time=a better day". If you have hopper and can go for EMH and leave if it gets busy, go for it.

On the other hand, "May the 4th be with you" may make that day higher crowds at HS

I would go with Animal Kingdom on Sunday and Hollywood Studios on Monday.
if your twins were older I might try Hollywood Studios extra magic hours but they are young. It will be more crowded and would be a late night for them because the park is open until 11:00 since it is a pm magic hours.

You think it will be busier than night extra magic hour when Hollywood Studios is open until 11:00?
In the past its been very busy, even with the after hours party last year ... and the star wars big additions were not even there yet.
