LOL!!! Oh, yea, the fillet. That was good - but the MAC AND CHEESE itself was actually my favorite - so, too, the smashed pototoes they serve with the chicken. I'm not even a big chicken fan, but I ordered it again later in the week just to get the smashed potatoes!!!

Let's hear it for the carbs!!! :goodvibes

Yes the mac and cheese itself is good enough. I have not tried the chicken
yet.

Tuesday -12th
september

I went to Epcot all day . I have never tried evening ehm at Epcot but i always split the park into 2 days. Soaring was the first ride and it was a walk
on . Last year i was in the first row and this time was the same! I just wish this attraction was longer. It is really beautiful. I sat next to couple who were
riding it for the 1st time. I told them Soaring is awesome .After riding it, they thanked me ! :goodvibes
After exiting Soaring , i went to Mission Space. I tried the less intense green
side. The ride was fun. There was just one other person in the capsule with me. I tried to keep up with the commands while pushing buttons for the vacant seats. The ride takes over in an override anyways for the buttons. The next attraction was Spaceship Earth . This is good just to cool off as the ride is inside and at a slow space. It stopped for a second unexpectedly.
Maybe there was an emergency that we had to stop but iam not sure.
I had lunch at Sunshine Seasons . I ordered a chicken flatbread . The flatbread was terrific! It was a whole chicken breast on a flatbread with
lettuce. The pies for dessert are great. After lunch , i went over to
Honey i Shrunk the audience or kids. This attraction is always fun especially when the mice multiply . Great 3d effects! It was too hot to ride Test Tract
and i have seen Ellen and her energy adventure plenty of times. Therefore, i passed on them.

I also saw Turtle talk with Crush! I dont recall this being open last summer.
He is really great. I dont how they get him to interact with the live audience
and answer their questions. While near the Land pavilon, i went to the Sunshine seasons and had lunch. Chicken flatbread, a half chicken breast on
flatbread with lettuce! It was wonderful! :) The pies for dessert are great to!

Next its over to the World Showcase. I walked over to Mexico first. I rode
El Rio De Tiempo , the Mexico Pavilon ride. This was a walk on to! After this ride, i went over to Norway. Along the way i stopped for some shaved ice at
the China pavilon. This was very tasty! Malestrom at Norway is a fun ride .I like the part where the gnomes blow you backwards .

It was getting to hot so i went back to the hotel. I was going back to Epcot
in the evening to try to do some more of the showcase before my dinner at
The Yachtclub steakhouse.
I did not have time to see anymore so i made my way to the Yachtclub .
It was about another 15-20 minute walk from the showcase. I was seated
early at the steakhouse for my 7pm dinner. For appetitizer i ordered the mussels . These were wonderful! The main course was a whole Maine
lobster! Now i am from New England but i dont always go out enough for seafood. Dessert was a key lime creme brulee. It was very tarty and i could
only eat well 90% of it! :confused3
I was out the door at 815pm and since the marina is just right across from
the Yachtclub steakhouse, there was more than enough time to check in for
the illuminations cruise. At 830pm, the potoon driver took me out along the lake and back. Oh did i mention , i was the only person on the potoon! :Pinkbounc Then we dock underneath the bride near France. The fireworks from this location are wonderful. We had a great conversation also.
I had a coke while viewing the fireworks. He was so nice because he dropped
me off at the Mgm dock to get my bus back to the Animal Kingdom lodge. And
he gave me a coke for my ride home.

And of a great day!

That does sound like a great day. I have never seen turtle talk but it sounds like so much fun :)

I am assuming you are travelling on your own? the meal at yachtsman sounded very good, getting through 90% of the dessert is pretty darn good after a big lobster.

Yes i was traveling solo :)
Lol the waitor said,''Common you can finish it !' i replied 'No i cant i really cant! :rotfl2:

Nowait will have to edit it was the 8inch prime rib lol
I ate at so many places i get confused ,where my dinner report lol

Did you ever feel ackward on your own? sometimes when I travel with my dd12 she ditches me for the kids clubs or whatever and I dine alone - I actually like it!!

Edit for dinner on the 12th
While at Yachtsman steakhouse, the appetizer was the seared scallops . I thought these were nice. They melted in my mouth . I ordered the prime rib done meduim. I thought the rib was rather nice. It was a huge piece and it
was rather juicey to. I do not frequent steakhouses much to compare steaks
so i cant really compare it any. I have had prime rib with a smaller cut like
with great flavor and tenderness but only once a year. Yachtmans was i think 8 inch but still tender and juicy. I was pleased with the result.
For dessert, i ate the Happiest celebration of earth. It was a warm chocolate bunt cake with a hot cholocate filing that oozes out of it.
It was a nice ending to the evening. I did not feel overly stuffed eating here
and i was pleased with the result.
:rotfl2:

The lobster was at Narcossees :rolleyes1

Wow! What an awesome day! You are a model solo traveler!!! :worship:

September 13th

I wanted to spend some time at the resort. After reading the Dis :disrocks: and receiving information from the lodge, not spending time here would not
be right. Therefore, i chose this day as a resort day! :cool1:

I had a 8am breakfast at Boma. I just love the made to order omelets and the frunch jiuce. :goodvibes After breakfast there was plenty of time before my appointment for a facial message, so i went to the pool area
for a short time . I sat down under some shade to read my book and then
went over to bar . I had a captains mai tai which was tasty. My appointment
was at 930 am and the time was getting close. The massage was very nice.
None of the liquids are harmful to your skin because they are all natural. I was in the room for a hour and half. When i finished i went to the second floor overlook area to read my book and watch the animals. Now was a good
time to also wash some cleans in the laundry.

:laundy:

I walked around the hallways of the hotel to see different views. A bongo jumped over its fence and was over at the crane area eatting their food.
The savanah workers were keeping an eye on the bongo. It was real good
just seeing it so close.

Dinner was at Narcossees. For the appetitizer i ordered the mussels and the lobster was the main course. My dessert was key lime creme brulee.
I made it back to the hotel to see the Cultural Safari. It is done at 830 pm
and one of the savanah workers talks about where he/she lives and the different things they enjoy. For this night, Avril , was the person. She is from
South Africa and she enjoys camping. People do camping in caravans she
told us.
And end of another great day at Dinsey!

You had a mai tai at 9am? LOL

How was the facial? did you enjoy it?

The facial was nice .I did enjoy. Its relaxing and peaceful.
And well yes the mai tai was right around that time maybe later lol

I also had lunch at the Mara . Watch out for the birds because they take the bread from your plate! :goodvibes

The facial was included with your platinum plan, right? - what choices did you have? massage? any other treatments?

The choices were the facial and the body massage .I dont remember what
Don called the body message. It was funny because i had a confirmation number that it was booked but the spa did not have anything about me.
They had plenty of time anyways. Then i was charged for it but i got it
taken off at check out with no problem.

Everyone at the lodge is so nice. When i told housekeeping staff i was going for a message they wanted to come with me. :rotfl:

Lol i would not blame them either. And i guess they had me sort figured out.One told the other worker that i always go out early and come back
late. That day they caught me just doing being around the halls alot :goodvibes

Thursday

On the night before i received my invitation to the Sunrise Safari. I went up to the 6th floor to check in and get a little juice at 7am on Thursay. About 15 minutes later we met our park guides, Erica and Steve. We were on our way to the Animal Kingdom Park at 730 am from the back end of it. Along this
route we could see where the animals are kept. We ride to the park on a Disney bus and then ride the safari vehicles. The safari takes about an hour or more and its without the speel about the elephant. Along the way, you
can ask any questions and take as many pictures you want. Erica told us to ask the tough questions to Steve. They will stop the vehicle so you can take
your pictures. There were so many animals out and some were close to the route. We saw several Jiraffe very close to us. One walked past the front of the car. :goodvibes . The safari ends with a breakfast buffet at Tusker House! The buffet was terrific. There was alot to eat. I especially liked
the french toast stuffed with chocolatechips. We were given
fast passes to experience the ride the regular way. Right after breakfast i went on the safari ride again.

Afterwards, i went over to Expedition Everest but i did not want to try it
after eating so much at breakfast. I guess there will be other times. I did not
go onto the rapids ride because i did not have any place to store my throw
away camera. I would have to walk to the front of the park and then back
to do that. I found my way to Its Tough to be a Bug . I still enjoy seeing this
attraction. Then, i walked down to Camp Minnie to see the Lion King show.
The Legend of the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are my favorite shows.
The Lion King show has so much color and action ! Right outside the venue
was Goofy and the 2 small bears. I dont know the names of the bears. I got my picture taken with Goofy and then the bears. :) After the show , Mickey and Minnie were at their spots to. The lines for them were to long so i did not
go there. Since i knew i will be eating dinner at Victoria and Alberts in the evening, i did not have lunch. Instead i bought a mickey ice cream treat to eat at the park and then a bottle of water. I tried to use some of my snack
credits when i bought the water but the vendor told me i did not have any credits or coupons. :confused3 This was the only time i tried to use my card
for that. Well , it was no problem to me.

By noon it was getting to hot in the park. I went back to the hotel around
130 pm or 2pm . I rested in my room and prepared for my dinner at V&A.
I took a taxi to the Grand Floridian around 5pm . I did not want to take
any chances . My reservation was at 6pm so i sat down and relaxed in the lobby . I met the Matr'd ,Israel Perez, at the podium. He asked me if i came by valet parking or by taxi. I answered by taxi. He then asked me if i wanted
him to call a taxi after iam done to go to back to the lodge. I replied, ''Yes, thank you!.
The dinner was excellent! The atmosphere is unDisney like also. Theres
a harpist that plays . The room is beautful and the service is great! It is a very relaxing meal and time. After finishing the dinner, i applauded the staff
for a wondeful experience. Israel asked me if i enjoyed my time and i responded that i had a wonderful time! He then told me my taxi would be waited for me outside.
What a wonderful end to a evening! Victoria and Alberts i must try again!

On Friday morning , i went tp Epcot for the Undiscovered Future World Tour.
I never took this one before. Last year it was the Keys to the Kingdom . The
future world tour was pretty good. The tour guide was Kimmy and she gave us alot of information. She also made sure most of tour was either in the shade or inside. For example we went inside the costume and laudry building
and also visited some of the vip lounges. One of the lounges was in the Living seas building .This one was not used anymore. Another one was the one Hp employees use. I saw the control room of Mission Space to.
Kimmy explained that that Disney wants to cool down our body temperature
at mission space. Thus the constant air blowing at you during the ride and in the game room its always dark. In addition, all the comsoles in this room have no seats to use when playing them. They don't want to sit after riding
Mission Space. I thought that was very interesting.
Its amazing how close the world showcase in relation to future world behind
the scenes. Show wise it looks far but on the otherside it is not too far at all.
While on the i had a mexican hot dog along with the other people on the tour
at Mexico backstage. They were celebrating the CM's from Mexico. I learned
Disney has alot of programs for foreign employees to work . We listen to one
Employee during the lunch.
After visiting Mexico, we went over to the building where Illuminations is done and from here it was just a short walk to China Pavilon. We were given
our tour pins there.

I was still hungry so i went over to Germany;s Sommervest . I had a bratwurst with sauercraut and apple strudel. The bratwurst was terrific
and the dessert was great. The vanilla sauce on the strudel is nice to.

By 2pm it was getting to hot and i was getting tired so i went back to
the hotel to relax. In the late afternoon , i went to Downtown Disney
to do some shopping . I also just like walking around and visiting the stores.
At 6pm , i went to see La Nouba. :goodvibes . This show still amazes me
and makes me smile. I still enjoy watching the clowns perform as well
as the other peformers. I had a great seat to watch to!

After the show i had a dinner at the Portobello . My reservation was at 830pm.

Great reporting - especially enjoy hearing about the tours! Thanks :Pinkbounc
