DisneyStore - Make Your Own Messenger Bag?

I bought mine a month ago to use as a bag for my 13" MacBook. It fits well and it's padded enough. My name is Winnie, so I just got the black one w/a pic of Winnie the Pooh on it and no name (I still wanted to look professional :) ).

However, I am a little disappointed with the quality. My front pockets ripped and all I have in them is a notebook and pens. I don't use it daily either--only need to bring my laptop with me 2 times a week. The laptop isn't heavy either-- only 6 lbs or so.

I bought it for $9, so I'm not out too much money and I'll continue to use it until it fully falls apart.

Or maybe I should save it for Disney....

I saw this thread on SUnday, ordered one for my trip next month and called my mom and got her to order one for her and dad, and a second for Dsis and her 2 kids. Mine showed up 4 days later  I'm impressed so far. I have the CUTEST pooh bag from years ago that we've always carried into the parks. But the pooh bag is big and we end up carrying way too much. Plus the straps weren't padded, and there were no compartments, so everything was impossible to find. This one seems just big enough for the essentials- especially in April when we won't need jackets! AND, the best part is, DF says he's retiring his fanny pack!!!! :worship: :rotfl2: :lmao: :woohoo: (I know it was a disney fanny pack, but come on, it's 2008!!):rotfl:

I just got mine on saturday, it is a little larger than I hoped. I am still going to take it but also take my Baggellini in the luggage just in case....

By the way I got a black bag with a hot pink tink on it with my name. I ordered my mom a red one with the pirate skull with her name in yellow.

Thanks for the link. I ordered three and two lunch boxes! I bought the black with hot pink tink for me, a lavender Belle for DD and a pink Sleeping Beauty for other DD. The girls also got matching lunch boxes.

I just got mine! I was pleased with the size of the Small Messenger Bag, it seems like just the right size for the parks. The only problem I have with it, is the fact that there is no zipper across the top of the main compartment, just the flap which is secured by 2 plastic buckles. I'm always worried about small items slipping out. I might put some kind of light weight zippered pouch inside the main compartment, or I might try to hand-stitch a zipper into it. There is a zipper across the top of the front flap.
All in all, it's a good deal. It's a very nice looking bag, with my initials and Mickey embroidered on the front! ::MickeyMo

I found a problem similar to yours with a new Vera Bradley bag that I just purchased and I sewed snaps across the top, works great now.:thumbsup2

I ordered DS the small messenger and matching lunch bag. He picked out Jack Skellington for his character, so I got the black bag with white writing! I also just "had" to have a medium tote for myself! I'm going to use it for school (I'm a teacher) and hope it's big enough to use as a pool bag for our June trip! I can't wait for them to arrive! :thumbsup2

I just posted this on another thread about the bags:

I received an email today, 25% off site wide (SPRING25) which brings the cost of the messenger bag down to $9.74. If you order at least $50 worth you can get $5 shipping on your entire order (SHIPFOR5)

I'm still waiting for my bag that I ordered a week or so ago so I didn't get another one. I did stock up on the $4.99 t-shirts which were only $3.74 with the discount. Great deals there, of course now my entire spring and summer wardrobe has Disney characters on it :lmao:

Grrrrr....doesn't it just figure! Thanks for posting the code, though. I may have to see if there's anything else I "need". :rolleyes1

I lucked out. I actually filled my cart last night but was too lazy to go get my card out of my bedroom and figured I'd leave it until morning. First thing this morning I logged into my email and there was the code :goodvibes I would have been bummed had I ordered last night only to find the code this morning.

Thanks for the codes! I was able to buy 6 t-shirts, two nightgowns and a messenger bag all for $61.xx shipped!:cool1:

Thanks MissStampPants for the discount code. Ordered 3 bags today. One for me and one for each of my girls. I can't wait to get them.

WooHoo;just bought 5:cool1: for our upcoming trip; Blue w/ mickey for DH, Blue w/ patriotic mickey for DS, Lavender w/ eeyore for MIL, Lavender w/ Ariel for DD, and Lavender w/ Tink sil. for ME! Can't wait to get 'em-and with the Spring25 code, they were just over $9 each-can't beat that. Word to other parents, we used our initials, it's unfortunately looked at as unsafe for kids to walk around w/ their names. (some incredibly sick people out there...) Back to the fun part-bought a little something extra and used the shipfor5 code too! Yeah!!!:dance3:

Hi folks! :wave2:

I am interested in the messenger bag too, BUT I can't tell if the strap would be long enough for me (I'm 5' 11"). When you let the strap clear out, how long does it get? Anyone know?

ok add me to the list that read this thread and then went straight to disneyshopping and ordered THREE plus the duffle bag!

Thanks for the great tip! I am going to try the bag this year rather than my backpack (which usually gets stuffed with everything and gets to heavy to carry.)

I ordered everyone one in our family plus the duffle with our last name.

Thanks again!

I ordered one small messenger bag and a matching duffle bag for myself. Mine are lavender with my name and Eeyore. As a suprise, I ordered a blue duffle bag with Tigger for my son with his name on it. He will use it for his carry on bag when we go to Disney in August.:)

I am 5'8 and when I let the strap all the way out it hangs all the way down over my butt. So I think it would hang on you right around you waistline? Good luck with it.

I just got my bag in the mail today and I just love it!!!!

In fact my mom loved my bag so much, she had me order one for her just now!LOL  She is getting a blue one with the Tinker Bell Silhouette and her name in black!

We will both be using our bags for our Disney Cruise Line trip, this Nov.2008!!! So be on the look out for our bags! LOL:rotfl:
