kaytieeldr (Ronda) and I have a long history together. My wife has made her peace with it ... she even enjoys watching sometimes (the DISboards, of course!).

I waited in a huge line last december It wrapped around the cattle chutes 3.5 times...It took me 25 mins inline and then I waited for my bus for 15 mins. That is the longest I ever waited. I've taken DME at least 10 times.

The line was huge but there were many many agents to help all the people so the line moved very efficiently.

I also think the wait for this persons bags at luggage pickup added a lot to his time frame.

DH and I are not bus people so, thankfully, we cannot comment of DME. We rent cars...no lines for us.....we enjoy the freedom and flexibility.

Anyway, I fly to MCO 4 or 5 times a year and have never waited for our luggage. Southwest always has it spinning around on the luggage belt when I arrive......it's perfect.

A quick skoot to the rental car and we are on our way. Longest wait we find is for the elevator down after picking up our luggage when we stay for 10 days and have our one checked bag each.

When have free car rentals from our travel points so this DOES make it easier for us to budget the rental!

Wouldn't you know it?? The one time I fly SW to MCO I have only carryon stuff. Maybe I should start flying SW more often!! I'm always the one, waiting at baggage claim, for my last of three bags to come out. Why do the first bags come out quickly, lulling me into a false sense of security only to hold that last bag for 20 mins!!! That's the one bad thing about staying at the Dolphin...I have to go to baggage claim and stand there and wait. Never have I gotten my bags in less than 15 mins. Jetblue must be having a group coffee break when they see my bags come down!!!

Well, you know, I don't know if it was a fluke or what - but somebody recently posted (probably on this board?) that he tipped a SkyCap $6 or $8 (I forget if he had one or two bags, but he handed over a $10 - anything over the curb-check fee went in the SkyCap's pocket) and his luggage was FIRST off the plane... now, that happened to me once, when I flew First Class on Delta using SkyMiles.

However, this is coming from a guy who has never had the opportunity to use DME. Maybe after my trip in September, I'll be entertaining myself with posts on here lol

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are not technically "assigned" to a bus but rather you get on the resort bus when you and the bus arrives. So I do not understand posters saying to reassign you to a different bus. Each bus is assigned multiple resorts to deliver guests to and the drivers are told when to leave.

That said, we used ME in April 06 during PEAK spring break time and again June 08. Both times we had very little wait times with long lines and quick lines to the bus. We were checked into our resort with an hour of landing so I have no complaints at all with ME. I do feel sorry for those that had to wait but Disney cannot correct those issues unless you voice your concerns!
