I am creating a photobook from the Disney Photopass website. For those who have done this, what to you write for the text? I dont just want to write a descriptions such as " me at splash mountain".I am trying to think of something more creative. Any thoughts? I am thinking of possible writing words from a disney song such as "when you wish upon a star", instead of plain descriptions.

I used different quotes...like we had a few pics of Illuminations I used the wording of the intro. Some pages we didn't use text at all. It's too bad my stupid ex-bf is in all of them, probably why I let him keep the book!

I used them in two different ways. In some cases, I used them to write a narrative of the trip. In other cases, I just used them as a page header.

For example, on our first two pages, the text read something like this...

"Our trip this year was our second time staying at Saratoga Springs Resort. We loved the room and the view!" (Pictures are of us checking in, the room, and the view from the balcony.

"After settling into the room, we headed to the Polynesian Resort for lunch at Kona Cafe (pictures of the Poly and lunch), and then to..."

(Full page picture of us in front of the castle) "The Magic Kingdom!"

On other pages where I'd grouped some character pics, I just put something like, "Meeting the Characters!"

I only did text on a few pages. For our Animal Kingdom pics I said "Having fun at The Animal Kingdom!" . I did a resort page and put "Port Orleans Riverside". I had a random pic page and wrote "Fun in the Flordia sun"! Oh..the first page was pics I took on the plane down and wrote "On our way to Disney World". I wanted to do a lot of 4 pics per page so I only had a few with three and room to write! Here's some examples of others that I did!

I like your pages, Wendy. Looks like you used different backgrounds for each page?

the book does look good. Now I wish I had checked this out before my pix expired. Maybe next time.

SUPERWENDY - I tried the link. Seems like you no longer use photobucket, or you moved the pix.

Ok, I finished mine. When I finished and clicked to order it,(I ordered 2 copies) it said the book wasnt complete? the only thing I can think of why it said that is becasue I didnt fill in a lot of the text??? It looked finished to me..I submitted it for ordering, hope it comes out ok. A question: I know they ship UPS. Do they ship it signature required(I hope). I do not want the ups guy leaving it at my door unattended if no one is home when he delivers.

Those aren't mine! Go to page 2 and 3 of the thread!

If there is an error hopefully they will contact you prior to printing it. I don't remember if I had to sign for mine or not. I think it was on my doorstep.

While I haven't done a photo-book, I did complete a scrapbook from our June 07 trip.

I used phrases, song lyrics, song titles and captions on some pictures. With some pictures, I put descriptions.

For example:

1. poolside pictures, I put the caption "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming."
2. picture of dd with Kim Possible I put the caption "call me, beep me".
3. picture of us outside H&V, I put the caption "hooray for hollywood"
4. picture of HSM Pep Rally - caption "Go Wildcats!"
5. picture of the Jungle Cruise - caption "It's a Jungle Out There".
6. picture of the sea gulls outside of The Seas - caption "Mine! Mine! Mine!"
7. picture of statue of Walt and Mickey in front of castle - caption "One Man's Dream".
8. picture of Aladdin ride - caption "A Whole New World".

Good luck! HTH!:)

Now that I have finished our book and struggled to finally come up with clever captions other than "Monday afternoon, EPCOT" or "Meeting Mickey", an idea finally hit me. Start at the beginning and use the lyrics to the Magic Kingdom Welcome all the way through the book. "A kingdom full of endless dreams for every girl and boy", "Wonderous lands of make believe will fill your heart with joy", "A castle leads the entrance way to seven lands and more"...

Unfortunately, I don't have time to go back and redo it, so I'll have to wait to try it next time.

That is a great idea! Unfortunately, i dont have a lot of pictures of us at the parks. Mostly pics from our resort and photopass pictures. I probably have about 45 pics, total. I ended up not writing captions, except on the first page i wrote "Walt Disney World is a very magical place..Made even more magical when visiting with the most special people on earth..Family"

That is a cute way to add captions. :)

I loved the idea of song lyrics for text. I'm not creative at all, but I wish I would have thought of something like that for mine. I didn't have a lot of space because I tried to fit as many pictures as I could on the page (3 to 4 per page) so I wouldn't have to pay for too many extra pages. But that's just a great idea.

I did not have to sign for the package, it was just left. I remember coming home from work and being very excited that it was here waiting for us.

My daughter loves to take pictures. On our last trip to Disney she took 25 rolls of 36 exposure film, her digital camera on which she took about 300 pictures and we also bought the photo pass. Needless to say we had a lot of pictures when she got done. It cost a fortune to get them developed, but we have 2 extremely large scrapbook albums for our Dinsey memories. We will be probably be going again in January 2010. We can hardly wait.

well the good thing about Digitla photos and photo books to remember, is that you don't have to print pics like you would in a regular scrapbook. I did a 100 page 12x12 digital Disney book through shutterfly ende up costing aroun $140(they were also on sale) But i think i used around 400 pics through the book. Where i am to print photos usually are 19 cents(sometimes 15 cents) per pic. so if i had printed 400 that would have easily costed $80. so the books are definetly worth it. Plus it was way faster then my paper scrapbooking. :goodvibes
