No flames please, but am I the only one who thinks Disneyshopping.com sucks right now. I haven't bought anything there in weeks because the prices seem so high!! Tell me it will get better for Thanksgiving :teeth:
 
I am SO with you on this one. Before their site rehab, free shipping on $75 or more was pretty much a gimme. Now they give CODES for free ship on $100! Prices seem higher...sale discounts are less. Oh yeah, and the free shipping on pins on Monday now doesn't include pin sets. I am pretty sure it did before. Thumbs down from me too....boo hiss! :sad2:
 
Count me in too as disappointed in DisneyShopping. The prices are definitely higher and the shipping costs are ridiculous. I had to pay $12.50 to have a watch shipped.
I think the thing that bothers me the most is how they will raise the prices on items in the outlet when they run a sale. Before the sale, items will be one price and when the sale starts they are 20-30% higher.
I think that business is down on the site right now and that is why they are offering so many per cent off sales. All I know is that my purchases on DisneyShopping are down almost 70% from what I bought last year.
 
The completely dislike the new website. The white makes it so unappealing. I do have agree I haven't seen many deals lately either. :confused3
 

I agree and I think its because Disney does not run it anymore.

I returned 2 boys shirts months ago and asked then to be exchanged for another size....never got the shirts and had forgotten about it and then saw them online again and called up and by the time I called the size I needed was all sold out. In the past when they made a mistake they'd replace it for FREE. I am not looking for free but they did nothing when I sent the shirts back.
 
I'm in agreement about this also. I'll see something for $19.99 one day, the next day they're running a sale code and the price on the same item will go up to $24.99, then apply the code, it'll be $19.99! So it'll come down to the same price it was before the "sale." It's so blatant and goes up and down from day to day.
 
I agree with the high shipping. So when there was a glitch this past week on their website with stacking of codes and getting 50-60% off stuff I took advantage of it from this post on the budget boards http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1276372

Also since they have outsourced their call center you have long hold times. I used to be able to call and get right through or had very little wait even at Christmas time.

I have never gotten a response to any of the emails I have sent online.

They never send the giftcard with DVD purchase like the $10 one with Cars on time.

They don't send out the Disney Catalog where you could see all the new stuff by flipping through the pages in 10 minutes vs. searching their website clicking through all the pages and it taking over an hour now.

I also don't like their new design of the website.

I don't know any other website that changes their prices up and down as much as they do.

Also since they have updated the website if you go and look up old orders it doesn't work.

The search engine isn't up to par and you can't search by item #.

Maybe if enough of us tell them what we expect and liked in the past via calls, emails, letters it might make a difference.

I find the prices higher and the codes not very good. A few months ago, it was free shipping on $50.00 or more. I don't spend that much at a time, so to have to spend $100 for free shiping is not going to happen...and the shipping is ridiculous!!!

I go there a few times a week to see if I can find deals...Haven't found much lately... :sad2:
 
So I have yet to see a post from anyone who likes the site rehab and/or thinks that prices are as good or better than before. This leads me to surmise that the majority of people are disappointed and probably ordering less, if at all lately. I have not ordered since August and my cart is currently empty. I wonder what their sales look like since the rehab?
 
Anyone having trouble getting on the site today????? I can't get on, and I have $300 in my shopping cart that I need to get out by tonight! I am buying all personalized stuff, so the discount is 47.5% plus free shipping.... but that all ends tonight. Thanks for any info you may have :thumbsup2

Sorry, I forgot to answer the orriginal question. Yes, I hate the new site too, but I am trying to get these items because the night gowns and sports bags come out to about $10 a piece, which is good for the neighbors children and stuff, and with their names on the items I thought it would be special....

The site is currently down for maintance. You would think they would do that in the middle of the night. However I did notice yesterday when I was looking at the site there were a lot of items showing on the website that haven't been available in several months, but when you clicked on the item it said not in stock. So appears that they are having problems with their website.
 
The first time I tried today, the site was marked down for maintenance. Then I did get on the next time, and now can't get on again. So it was up for a few minutes, at least. I dislike the white background, too. The more they try to improve things, the more it seems they mess them up. :rotfl:
 
I agree. I thought I was the only one who didn't like their "deals"! They just don't seem like deals to me! :sad2:
 
I cast my vote with you. I don't like the new web site at all. They used to have really great prices on clearance but I suppose it's just a thing of the past now.

Give me the old Disney Catalogs any day!! I remember when it used to be spend 50.00 get free shipping spend 65.00 get a free gift and the free gift was great. Now unless you spend 100.00 you pay an outrageous amount for shipping.
 
One more thing...

I don't like the FEDEX Smartpost shipping that they do, it takes forever and a day. I just dread it when they send me my shipment confirmation and it shows Smartpost instead of just regular Fedex. Plus I am paying higher shipping for slower service.

I second that...I have THREE packages that shipped out last week that say that they are still sitting in WV...and I HATE how they ship out the DVDs...it used to be that if you pre-ordered them you would get them possibly Monday before it is released or on the Tuesday that it is released...I am STILL waiting for delivery of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Christmas DVD that I pre-ordered in July and was released a week ago...you would think that since they charge you MORE for the DVDs then like Target or Best Buy that they would at least get them to you quickly...guess I am done ordering DVDs from them unless I am getting something good for free!!

One positive thing...I was part of the group that stacked codes last week...that was great...and of course after I was done I found MORE codes that could have possibly saved me more $$, but I still got everything for at least 50% off.
 
One other frustrating part is how many times I'll click on an item and THEN be told it is not currently available. Aaarrrgghhhh!!! You would think a website would know not to display anything I couldn't order or at least indicate it without making me click on the item and then find out.

Really poor design.
