Someone replied to another poster, the end of the month. Are they saying how much longer until the slide opens?
HH is open, per a poster there.Awesome! Traveling to WDW at the end of this week. Any word on Hurricane Hannah’s? I know about the posted date but I want confirmation![]()
I tried twice today and both CM I spoke too seemed more informed and said cabanas are NOT opened yet for June/Early July. I have spoken to well over 12 CMs for Cabana rental over the last 2 months of trying to get a reservation and they are not all trained equally. It's hit or miss if you get one who knows the situation. I will try again tomorrow.Just wanted to note: two people just posted that cabana rentals are open for early July. They both said they were told that they’re already sold out as of today for first week of July. Not sure if they’re getting incorrect information or not, but for those that were asking I just wanted to share.
There are 24 posts and growing… there are a bunch saying that they were told they are booked and then the other half saying that they were told they’re not available yet. A handful of them are insisting the cast members are telling them that they can see they are actually booked. It’s crazy that everybody is getting different answers.I tried twice today and both CM I spoke too seemed more informed and said cabanas are NOT opened yet for June/Early July. Stormalong Bay Pool & Hurricane Hanna’s Reopen Following 5-Month Refurbishment
The very popular Stormalong Bay pool is now open following a 5-month refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort. The pool received a full refresh, drained of water and sand during the refurbishment. The refurbishment also reportedly included some significant work on the pool pumps. We made it out to Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort earlier today to take a look!
The Stormalong Bay pool is an attraction all its own! The pool area is spread out across 3 acres of space between the Yacht Club and Beach Club lobbies. A portion of the pool area has real sand, and the visual icon is the giant shipwreck, home to a 230-foot-long waterslide. That makes it one of the highest hotel slides at Walt Disney World.
With 795,000 gallons of water comprising an impressive complex of pools that range from swirling to placid, open to secluded, and cool to warm, every member of your family can find a place to make a splash at Stormalong Bay.
While the pool is open, along with the nearby Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, the slide remains under refurbishment and off-limits to guests. The slide appeared to be the area receiving the most attention during our previous update on the refurbishment. Here’s a look around!

Wasn’t from me directly, but sharing what I saw posted on FB!! So happy to help on this thread. Love seeing people happy about Disney!!You were so right with the June 17 heads up! Thanks so much for your input and now heading to the water![]()
Yay!! Time to cancel my Swolphin backup! Glad they didn’t wait on the skid to open the pool complex.
Will be interesting to hear from vets if any old broken features return. I recall reading something about bubbling waters in part of the pool that broke and never got fixed?
