Update, I just spoke to one of the contractors. He stated the pool will open tomorrow at 10am barring any unforeseen issues. They are removing construction materials and some of their equipment now.

Apparently the contractors get a bonus for everyday the project is completed early so I guess there is some incentive.

Is anyone else disappointed that after this amazing new refresh, that they didn't get brand new lounge chairs at SAB? The old ones were definitely showing their age! Still very excited to get there in October. If anyone is there this week, can you take a picture of the all adult hot tub for me with the sign, its my happy place , thanks!

The new ones the recently added to CR are very comfortable and a nice upgrade.

I was wondering what was up with that. When I was at bc a couple years ago I kept getting stuck with chairs that sagged so much you were sitting on bar. These looked rather saggy for new chairs but I was hoping reports would be better.

Hi, all! We will be in the Orlando area the first week of July and we are surprising our girls (ages 16, 14, and 10) with one night at the BC at the end of our stay. We plan on checking in early on July 5, spending the day at SAB, and then checking out relatively early the next morning to begin our 11 hour drive back home. I managed to snag reservations at Beaches and Cream. I would love any other suggestions for things to do or check out on our 24 hour resort stay!

They normally replace the covers and even repair damaged frames since they are commercial pool furniture fixtures. In the Florida Sun the fabric covers are often replaced on a schedule. Often every 1-3 years.

I await the first hands-on review of every aspect of the SAB refresh, and as many guests over 30, we really want to know if the Slide has an improved glide surface.

Take a ride on the Skyliner, it is a short walk to the Epcot station from the BC, Friendship boat launches as they travel between Epcot and HS, and a walk around Crescent lake.

Make sure your pool stuff is easily accessible as you may not get a room until check-in time (4pm).

“Today!! Late last night the lobby staff was sharing the news with guests as we were arriving back from extended hours at Epcot. Opens at 10am (slides won’t be open yet).”

POOL IS OPEN!!!!




ETA: They even had a ribbon cutting ceremony to reopen the pool!



Side note: it was confirmed the slide is still closed and under refurbishment. The cabanas are also not open.
