How long is your trip? DH and I are headed to WDW on Thursday. If your group will still be there, I'll keep an eye out for you!

(No YC this trip. We are trying out CSR for the first time.)

Dee - safe trip!

Scary day for us. Ds was pitching and got hit in the head with a line drive. Spent all afternoon in ER.
He has a concussion, so no sports, no exams, not much of anything for the next few weeks, but it could
have been a lot worse.

I'm glad your son is ok! Concussions are a scary thing...my DH and his brother both played football and I think they both had concussions (years ago, of course). We're a volleyball family now We just got back from Disney a few hours ago, and now volleyball camp starts bright and early tomorrow!

I just thought I'd mention something interesting that we saw at BC...remember those beat up freshly painted doors that were caused by using latex paint over oil-based?? Well, we saw some black curtains hanging over some of the doors at the very end of the hallway and went to investigate (it was after midnight so no one saw us). They had completely stripped the paint off the doors so they could repaint them. I guess I knew this was the only way to fix the problem, but what a pain! Too bad they didn't do it right the first time. This was on the fifth floor, and quite a few rooms were "off the market" while they were repairing them. The curtains were down a few days later.

Of course the thing that'ssking him crazy is no baseball for a few weeks. He lives and breathed baseball! High school team, fall ball, travel teams - the whole shebang!

Question. I have a 5:05 dinner reservation at Cape May. We plan on swimming that afternoon / night. I was looking at the June calender and I see they do a dance party at 5:00. Should I move our dinner to later? I was not planning on a big lunch. This is for September

I have never done the dance party at the pool, so I don't know what goes on there, but maybe someone who has can describe it and you can decide if it is something you want to do.

Did I dream this or did someone say that Basin had a soap matched to the Beach Club lobby scent? Ever since they stopped making that Orla Kiely Method soap in Cloudburst I have never been able to find another soap that smells like the BC.

I think I have a post in "Other Useful Information" about suggested products that smell like the beach club. You are even quoted in it!

What is that awesome smell at the Beach Club?

The scent generator may be purchased at Enviroscent/ www.scentairhome.com
The scent used is green clover and aloe
note: some recent reports indicate that the companies have not been accomodating to non-business customers. The unit is quite expensive (around $300 plus cost of cartridges)

Redneck scent solutions- if you can't afford the scentair system, there are reports that certain fragrances at Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle are good matches. Unfortunately, some of these lines have been discontinued:

I found a pic! This was the soap I bought at Target that smelled just like the BC lobby!!!

Trying to catch up before I leave for Ben's class trip tomorrow. I have some time in the morning. We have a 3 pm flight so we don't have to be at the school until 11:30. We won't arrive at All Star Movies until around 7:30 or 8 pm

We have Tues, Wed and Thurs in the parks with Y.E.S (Youth Education Series) classes Tues (MK- Energy and Waves) and Wed (EP- Careers in Marine Biology) for 3 hours those mornings. Thurs is a free day.

Just got back last week from a BC stay and had a great corner room on 2nd floor with extra large deck area! Also my son and I met Teena one morning on our way out to Blizzard Beach. We decided to book bounce back for Dec 17-23 for my son, my niece and myself. The only thing available was Club Level....Beach Club has sent me a lot of forms to fill out and send back. My question is, should I let them handle my dining reservations or should I handle them myself? I have until June 20th before I can book. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

Your choice about the reservations. I like to make my own, but it really is a convenient service offered. To the best of my knowledge, they don't necessarily have an advantage when booking difficult to get reservations.

Here was the view directly below 5666, I rarely heard much noise, just occasionally the sound of a bus. We could hear the music coming from the UK pavilion which I thought was pretty cool.

Is that one of the rooms that was lost in the BC club level lounge expansion?

Good morning everyone! 41 days until we arrive at BC! Southwest had a wonderful sale on airfare this week so instead of flying into Tampa as we had originally booked, we were able to switch to MCO (and received a $20 credit!). But the best news of all is we extended our trip by a day. Our family voted and our last night will be at GF. We've never stayed there but figured if it was good enough for Princess Lily, it's good enough for us. LOL!

I always request a full balcony. If you also want a renovated room then request a high floor. The third, fourth and fifth floors are finished, although the fifth is club level.

Oh, yeah...I had a Sunken Treasure too and it was really funny because when I asked the bartender for one, he gave me this big sneaky grin like I'm in on "the secret." I loved that!

Dee, safe travels tomorrow! It will be a trip you won't forget! Our kids did the Careers in Marine Biokogy Y.E.S. Class a few years ago. It was very interesting! I think we've done the Energy and Motion one also.

Robyn, glad your son is ok! It's so scary when our kids are injured. My son has a broken collarbone so the start of his summer is a bummer for him. HS Football camp starts next week. I'm not too keen on him hitting when he broke his collarbone in the recent past.

Teena, I'm so excited for you and your European cruise! Lots of pictures please!

Thank you for this quick reply. Yes, I have a WDW trip booked for July 11-21, with the first four nights being at Yacht Club. If anyone else will be there around that time and would like to give me a quick tour of public areas at the Yacht Club (morning may be best), I'm all ears. I won't have internet access during the trip, so we'd need to touch base beforehand. Have a magical day!

Staying at the Beach Club Dec 6th-12th. Looking forward to it! My family has been planning to stay here for years and this December worked out great with a pin code and the room refurbs!

Well you can add us to the guest list thing, we will be there, August 28 to sept 8, BC cl.

A few questions
1) my sister and I came up with the mo ey to put mom and dad club level ( very funny trying to tell them what we are celebrating, three weddings, three divorces, three separations, a five year anniversery, a ten year anniversary and a 15 year anniversary, a honeymoon, and three birthdays, as well as neither has Cancer anymore. Anyway, any ideas of how to lock my mom out of her mde, she is the main holder and we don't want her to find out we upped her to cl and paid for it already. CM said he may be able to hold it off a day or two put it will eventually show up with the new price, since she is blind she does not always read the price until she finishes paying herself in July.

2) this is what I found out about rooms, no rooms face east so no room can say it has a lot of sunlight in the morning. Any suggestions on what rooms have the most sun light or another way to put it the most natural sun light so my blind mother can see shapes and shadows, she is the first up each morning usually at 4 am, waking everyone as she trips over the beds and desks, and doors and such, sunlight is her friend.

2) Not sure of the answer to this, but once again, I will suggest that you contact BC IPO and let them know that you are looking for a bright room, and why. They may have the best suggestion for a room request for your family.
