Yacht Club's Market at Ale & Compass sandwiches and other food items in coolers are brought in daily, late morning. The coffee drinks, panini sandwiches, and oatmeal are about the only items not pre-made.

12 days until our BC portion of our 2 week WDW getaway! Just stopping in to share my happiness! I can't wait to be back! I wish we were staying CL at BC - but it just wasn't in the finances to do both CL at BC and Poly ... so we picked Poly CL for the 4th of July week instead. So excited for our time at SAB and to walk into Epcot so easily. Yay!!

Wow! I wonder why the switch from the "pod" coffeepots to the "kcups"? I though they went with the "pods" to discourage guests from taking the extra kcups home. (As more people have Kcup machines.)

I'm surprised Disney went to k-cups from the environmental aspect. The last I read, and maybe this has changed, was that they were not recyclable and filling up landfills. We went back to the old mr. Coffee type filters.

The one in our room (CL) had a concentrator in the bag. No diffuser, but I found low and lots of movement to be an adequate substitute. The towels are incredibly absorbent so my hair was half dry after taking my turban down. I have shoulder length, medium thickness hair.

We'll be walking over to Boardwalk a few times to eat. How long is the walk and should we request a certain thing on our reservation to be closer?

Depends if you are staying at Yacht or Beach?

If you request a room at either, it would be furthest from the Lobby. No more than 10 min walk to the middle of Boardwalk.

Yeah I'd ask to be as close to Epcot as possible.

Then you are close to Epcot, and can jump over the bridge to Boardwalk

Someone was looking for booze prices from the Marketplace. Tequila, specifically.

If you make it over to the YC for some reason, see if anyone will tell you what floor they are working on now (or go exploring). My guess is 3rd floor is complete or close to it and 2nd is underway, but I haven't seen any on-the-spot confirmation of that.

If you are in the wing close to EPCOT, as suggested above, walk will be around 5-8 minutes depending on how fast you walk and which part of the BW. Easy-Peasy!

Yes...they are now working on 2nd floor. The 3rd floor finished the very end of May.

When are they slated to finish the room renovations? We just booked a split trip (CSR/YC) for end of November-beginning of December, and wanted to know if I would need to put a request in for a renovated room, or if they will be finished by then.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for November/December.

I believe the rooms are scheduled to be completed in August. That timeline is subject to change, of course, but you should be in a new room by the time of your trip.

Some work may be going on in the lobby- not sure how far along the work on the Captain's Grille restaurant will be by then.

BTW- I try to keep the first post on Page 1 of this thread updated with renovation and other news. I just posted the status update (3rd floor done, 2nd floor in progress)
