Each horse has a miniature of the character in front of it and there are hidden Mickey's placed throughout Funny when I was there taking pictures I missed so many details For instance, I didn't notice that Minnie's horse is wearing her trade mark yellow shoes Chip and Dale are hitching a ride on Pluto's back

Have begun my countdown to our Beach Club stay! We will be there in just 39 more days. It makes leaving the Boardwalk today so much easier knowing we will be back so soon.

I have not updated the first post on Page 1 for a couple of months.

I have NO NEWS about the Yacht Club refurbishment. As far as I know, plans are to start the room renovations in January. But I have not had a confirmation of that recently.

I just added the info about Disney's new $5 shipping/delivery fee but I have indicated that so far we have not heard that anyone at the resort has been charged. If that changes, please let me know.

I am going to remove the post about the bus stop relocation. I am assuming everything is back to the normal stops unless someone lets me know otherwise. Hey- are the bus boards working at both the YC and BC stops? I don't think the YC one was operational during my October trip.

Looking for reports about the 3 quiet pools- are any of them undergoing refurbishment or are they open for swimming currently? Are they all fenced in now? Hours???

How is that poolside shower room coming along? Started? Finished? Anyone know? I asked in October and it sounded like they had just moved some stuff to begin the work.

Any other new news or anything else you can think of that is out of date in the info pages? I haven't changed the Club Level post about guests making their own dining reservations now. I'm hoping that the change is temporary and the service will be restored consolidated booking contact for all resorts with concierge bookings.

I can say that when I was there thurs and fri last week we saw one group of construction workers up on the CL floor. There were also working on the room next to ours, the room directly next to the lounge... I am guessing it is 5170? Construction noises during the day could be heard from our room 5172... not disruptive, my kids napped through it.

Bus board at the Yacht club stop was operational and all seemed normal location wise.

Sorry if his has already been asked, coming to the beach club with family! My mother is very old fashion and nolstagic and collects the hotel key cards, are we still able to request those at check in? Personally I love the magic bands and have ordered. Thanks!

Yes you can request room key cards at the front desk. We always stop by and grab a couple to put in a wallet or purse after a couple of times leaving the room without wearing a Magicband.

I have no updates on refurbishments etc natebenma,but I can confirm that on our brief visit to Stormalong Bay last month the music being played was the same as it has been for the past SIX years

The BC quiet pool is fenced in. If you want to take the shortcut past the quiet pool to get to the small elevator then you have to go in one gate, walk past the pool and then exit out the other gate. You would have to enter through the gate to use the laundry room, too. It is inside the pool fence.

The Yacht Club refurb is on schedule to start in January. Don't be surprised if the staging is different than either the Beach Club's or the Villas'.

The Quiet Pool at the Beach Club, as well as the whirlpool, were open this week, without any disruptions. As Sue mentioned, you need to unlatch a gate to both enter and exit the pool area. The latch is well above the reach of little ones.

There has been another small change in room amenities; apparently, the pen and small notepad that were always placed on the nightstand, were discontinued.

The navy blue folder that contained resort and Bounceback info and was usually found on the desk in each guest room, was discontinued. In its place is a booklet with resort and parks information, but no mention of a Bounceback offer. It's almost as if the Bouceback were a secret, requiring you to have inside info to take advantage of the offer.

Three rooms at the BC had no pad and pen. A cast member advised they were dropped a couple of months ago, though others indicated they did not know they were discontinued. Maybe they are letting them run out at each resort.

Thanks for all the PHOTOS of the the NEW ROOM refurbishment!!

While I love the sophisticated yacht-like appearance of the room, I certainly hope they add a rug to warm up the space a little and add some Disney touches. Otherwise, it could be a hotel room in any city on the planet.

Maybe a hit or miss thing at all the resorts. The first half of our October trip to POFQ we didn't have one the first 3 days it showed up on day 4.

Maybe next year.Finally got new music this year at POFQ's pool, it had the same on our trips from 2009 to 2015.
