Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Dee is most definitely NOT in the fantasy closet. Currently in the back of the bus with the misbehaving teens stuck in rush hour traffic on route one. Great trip. Yesterday had some rough patches. But I didn't shed any tears this year. Yesterday was AK at 9, Hs at 1, resort break then Mk from 7:30 to 12:30. 3 hours sleep today

When you get home: get take-out for dinner, pour your adult beverage of choice, and put your feet up. Laundry can wait!

Welcome Back!:)

I realized they pick parks with no magic hours to recommend each day

I think some people believe that you should not go to a park with morning EMH unless you plan to get there at the beginning of EMH. If you show up late in the morning, the park will already be full of early EMH-ers. So if you are staying off-site and are not eligible for morning EMH, or if your family refuses to get up and get to the morning EMH park early, then the theory is you should pick a park which is not having morning EMH.

I personally think you should look at the list of attractions which will be open during morning EMH when making the decision. For example, at Animal Kingdom park the list of attractions which are open during morning EMH is this:
-DINOSAUR
-Expedition Everest
- Primeval Whirl
-TriceraTop Spin
-It's Tough to Be a Bug!
-Discovery Island Trails
- Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
-Kilimanjaro Safaris

Imagine that you have small children (or people in your group get motion sick easily). You might think that Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Primeval Hurl and TriceraTop Spin would be too rough for them. Some families find that the 3-D bugs in It's Tough To Be A Bug terrify their children, so you rule that out. You can do Discovery Island Trails and Pagani Forest Exploration Trail any time at your own pace, so it seems like a waste to do those during morning EMH. So where do you go during morning EMH? To Kilimanjaro Safaris.

The mass of people with strollers moving toward Kilimanjaro Safaris at the beginning of morning EMH was unbelievable.

Did Ben pose for pictures with you?

Welcome back!

Dee: I hope you are still sleeping! You sure know how to make the most of a few days at Disney!!!!

Wonder how Teena is doing?

I found a copy of his map at this website:

http://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?19243-Quickest-way-to-Hollywood-Studios-from-Epcot

If your resort room is located close to the Epcot International Gateway section of the BC, then it is a little shorter to take the route marked in pink on the map, then it is to walk past the YC to the BW. The shortcut through the BWI clown pool area makes the walk a little shorter than going around the Atlantic Dance Hall, although it would not be shorter unless you were near that end of the BC.

The endpoint for HS does not seem to go to the stage left side for the alternate bag check location.

Have you seen the Cinnamon Rolls from Gaston's (in MK)? I've heard of the Lefour Brew (sp?) A frozen apple juice with flavored foam - but to see how large that cinnamon rolls looked - I've now added that to my list of snacks!

I did try Gaston's Tavern last trip. Yum. But, meeting Gaston was the highlight. I think I will avoid the exotic foam brew this time. After reading that Dole Whips are reconstituted from powder, I think that will be a safer treat for me. The cinnamon roll is fair game!

Has anyone created or found a property map for the beach club with the view categories labeled now that there is a garden/woods view? I called yesterday to put in a request of "lagoon side of the building" because we really don't want to be on the back side facing the villas. The CM on the phone said, " but you have a garden view booked so you won't be on the lagoon side." I tried to explain that I'd seen pictures of garden view rooms that were on that side of the building, but weren't direct water views, so she put in the request for me, but then I started to second guess that maybe I was wrong.

So glad you had a good trip. Get lots of sleep....you're not allowed to get up before 7am!

5:30 this morning, which is not bad for me at all.

:goodvibes:

Wonder how Teena is doing?

Saw a couple of pictures Jeanne posted on Facebook from Copenhagen. I think the cruise set out sometime yesterday.
