Agree. They were such a cute touch, but fit right in with the resort decor.I loved those curtains. They were adorable!
thanks for taking the time during your vacation to post!So we are back from our 5 day trip so here are my thoughts. First, the rooms are nicely rehabbed with fresh paint, new rugs and curtains. Also new chair and ottoman, plus now wall dispensers. No more individual shampoos, conditioners. There are individual soaps,Body lotion, dental kits and shower caps. Needs to ask for more supplies, different than years past where mousekeeping we’re giving things away. No big deal, just a difference.
Now for the lounge: New paint, rugs and furnishings. The beer and wine area at night is now on the extreme left near the big TV, that’s an improvement. Also hot entrees are now in the left instead of laid out on the right. Most importantly there are now hot not lukewarm. Did not see any difference in what was offered but I must say, the Salmon and rice was perfectly done. All the usual offerings from breads, vegetables etc…. Deserts were great and certainly in my option just as good as anything the Cake Bake Shop had to offer, just smaller. The expresso machine broke down for one day and the CM’s offered me credits if I ordered a latte in the Ale and Compress marketplace. Nice touch but I did not need that perk. I also reported since SAB is being rehabbed that CL guest could use the pool at Luna Park ( Boardwalk). YC offered a dedicated shuttle to BWI at the Marina. The pool at YC was never crowded no need to use that perk.
Now to the question that everyone is talking about.: Major work being done at the pool and the external areas of the YC. Roof and siding plus painting. The pool is definitely a work in progress. Definitely going in for months. At least 20 or more workers just for the pool and many more working on the building. They are transporting all the workers to and from the YC. As I reported the work did not bother us. The scaffolding as right outside my balcony working from 9 to 5 everyday. It may bother others but I was not at the hotel from 8 AM to 3PM.
It was one of our better trips. CM’s could not have been more outgoing and were outstanding. I have a bounceback booked for December 2025 YC WV non CL. I could not get a CL room at YC. I booked also for the same dates a CL WV room non bounceback. It’s amazing the difference in price for 7 day 6 night Trip (11K vs 6.5 K) non bounceback vs bounceback). If there are questions please let me know.
Wow. Still pretty torn up and lot of work to do. Guess I’m should stop holding out for an early summer YC stay…Walking around SAB today (3/30/25)
It's still March and a lot can happen before summer. I'm heading there tomorrow and obviously know what to expect, but I'll be back in July and I have every reasonable expectation that we'll be hanging out at SAB. The announcement says end of June for completion and I think it's too soon to worry about it going over.Wow. Still pretty torn up and lot of work to do. I’m still holding on to my YC for now. I’ll wait to see how things look by early to mid May just on the off chance. I have a good feeling you’ll be fine for July. Yep I agree. All signage here still says end of June and 3 months is a lot of time. It's still March and a lot can happen before summer. Disney Culinary Team Begins Setup of 2025 Beach Club Easter Egg Display
The annual Easter Egg display is returning to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and setup is now underway in the resort’s lobby.
We stopped by this morning and watched as the Disney Culinary Team carefully lifted the giant, hand-crafted eggs into position. Each piece is intricately detailed and created entirely from chocolate and other edible materials.
We’ll be back soon with full coverage and photos of the completed Easter Egg display once it’s fully installed.

Correct, you cannot use the BWI pool. No exceptions.Just confirming, if we stay at BCV during Easter, we cannot use Boardwalk pool?
Did you reserve both rooms on 1 reservation or did you have a CM update the reservations to indicate a "traveling with" note to link 2 reservations? We were in rooms 3534 and 3532 (connecting door, no balconies or view, just the small step out facing the trees)
This should not have been an issue, they clean the check-out rooms first so you room would have been scheduled for after 1 PM. When did you happen to return was it between 1 and 4:30 PM?Now part of this might be our fault because we aren't early risers, we usually leave our rooms around 10:00am, 11:00am at the latest, but the first 4 days we returned to dirty rooms.
While I know you that you know that the Housekeeping button on the room phones now go to a call center based on your no water post earlier. For others reading along I always mention it. Since your call went to a call center, the CMs handle more than 1 resort and often a Value and Deluxe, you got the wrong answer of "towels only" after 3.The first time I didn't even mention it because it was late and we still had plenty of towels leftover, but the 2nd day I called housekeeping around 4:00pm and was told "towels only" after 3:00.
Did she happen to provide any additional housekeeping insights that you want to share here? A good example would be on the answer you got from the phone call that you make to housekeeping, and getting the "towels only" after 3 PM.The housekeeping manager came to speak with me, she was very nice and we had a good conversation. She put a special request in for us to have our rooms cleaned daily and the problem never happened again for the rest of our stay.
