Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

We check in on Sunday after 3 days at the Dark Side. I'm curious to see what we get, I've never seen such a specific room type before. When I clicked on the more information button, it spelled out all of the abbreviations.

Here is our view, upgrade to Lagoon View from a standard view. Wheelchair accessible room with a standing only balcony, so 1 of 2 room requests were met (close to elevator (yes) and large balcony (no)). Pleased/happily surprised with the upgrade!

Sounds like she would fit in well with our Beach Club Floozies Girl's trip in two weeks. Just leave her and your credit card at the resort and we will find her in two weeks. I'm sure she will have no trouble telling the CM's what she needs.

OMG, can you see all the happy drunk people, passed out from liquor and heat stroke, decorating the lobby while their children dance with the characters? People checking in would think they walked on to the set of Animal House 2, Beach Club edition.

I'd say she'll party all night, but she just passed out in my lap eating a banana. And it's only 5:20.

Have you stayed there? I have many times and service has declined the last couple of years. So I feel I'm strong advocate on the hotels in general.Plus spending $400-600 a night isn't cool when issues arise that be handled with a key stroke of compensation, has to do with loss of vacation, deprive of sleep & experience, they want returned guests, make them happy!!!:welcome:

I'm going to reply, because I truly feel BC handled this the best they could. There were characters, buses to the boardwalk to a catered location. Compensation and alternate resorts offered. The tone of your replies can be taken as negative and that's IMO. We were at the BC and still are at the BC. I've stayed at other resorts and quite honestly if their service is declining well I'll take it! Please hold your judgement unless you were there last night. And and it was a lightening strike. It was a few hours of inconvenience and the guests were well taken care of in the finest Disney fashion so enough with the negativity on a very positive thread. Thank you

Yes - many, many times. Stayed CL most trips and was always very satisfied with service and loved the resort!

Maybe instead of calling people names and complaining you should spend more time looking for discounts. We are paying $202 a night including taxes and that deal was available to anyone.

Many of the regular posters to this FAQ thread have stayed at the Beach and Yacht Club many times.

Some of the posters today who are there now have given their input about the air conditioning and hot water issues. We have heard your opinion about what you think should have happened, so thank you for that. I don't think you need to continue to repeat the same thoughts here again and again.

I don't believe that criticizing or making judgments about the people who were there really serves any purpose. If you are trying to give them information, then say "Perhaps since you are paying so much for a deluxe room, you should request a night's refund for your inconvenience." You can leave out the adjectives.

If you have something else constructive to contribute here, that is great and we welcome that. We are all in it to help each other.

Hi everyone!

35 days until we're finally back at the BC - I'm getting so giddy I don't know what it do with myself ...

Quick question - is the BC still the last stop on the Magical Express? If I can remember correctly I think the route was POR, BWI, YC and then BC - is that correct?

Have a great night!

Does anyone know what brand the daybed is?

I'm bumping up your post. I don't know the answer, but I haven't seen the question before and it is an interesting one. If someone is staying soon in a room with a daybed, could you see if there is any kind of label and take a picture or write down what you find.

Thanks!

When Ninja Mom does that the family calls it a "Power Nap". Was the banana spiked with Benadryl? It took me forever to figure out they were spiking my banana with Benadryl. Here I thought they were just being nice to me when they kept asking: "Are you hungry for a banana? Can we get you a Banana? You really should have a banana, it's good for your constipation!".

Then I got one of those banana sniffing Beagles and it was back to my regularly scheduled program of nagging.

Quick update- I'm feeling better every day. I no longer feel like I was hit by a Mac truck, now it just feels like a moped ran me over.

:grouphug:

Good news. I'm wishing for club level service from family while you get the rest you need.
