The big pool storm along bay is open right? We arrive tomorrow and a friend told me it is closed. I know it was closed earlier in the year so I hope to we are misinformed

What are the normal pool hours for January?
I seem to remember the pool closing last January around 8, then we would have to jump in the smaller pools.
I'm hoping they did not shorten the hours any more.... not much else to do.

We are staying at YC. Our budget is for Disney meals for lunch and dinner but not breakfast. That will be easy to eat stuff in the room and on the go. Hate not having a freezer so we can have breakfast sandwiches and microwaveable breakfast bowls.
Curious, does the marketplace have those? If so, what time does the store open? I would be fine running down each morning early and grabbing that for some hot breakfast that’s not oatmeal.

Technically this is the grocery order form for Beach Club Villas, but orders are filled from Beach Club Marketplace (pre-Covid anyway), so people look at it to see what is sold there. Sorry I have no info about YC.

The market at Ale & Compass was open 7am-10pm the week leading up to Christmas. On our MK & AK days, we were on the bus before 7am. We started those mornings with cereal, fruit, cheese sticks and hard boiled eggs. We needed lunch early as we prefer a heavier protein breakfast. If you are heavy coffee drinkers, you can call the front desk for more coffee & cups without charge. I prefer half half (the market doesn’t sell it) over coffemate and the market just poured me some into a cup to keep in my fridge for my morning coffee.

Pool hours for early December of 2020 were 10 am to 10 pm, which has been the hours in effect since September . Not sure if that changed later in the month or if the January hours are different. I haven't seen them listed yet for this year.

I am under the impression they are closed due to COVID, which Disney implemented sometime over the summer. Someone a month or two ago reported they were open at YC/BC, but that doesn’t appear to be the case at the moment, at least for the 5 seconds I was there.

I do know they are not open at CR and Poly as recently as this week.

Like always with Disney things, YMMV!

Thank you so much for letting us know about your stay, especially after the negative experiences you had with the prior trip. I'm so glad you had a better stay this time.

A couple of questions about your room- what was the number? Was it 4123 or was that your previous stay? Do you have any pictures of the view from your balcony?

so sorry I’m just now seeing this, I took a digital detox when we left for our WDW Christmas trip and just now slowly getting back online. 4123 was the room my husband and I had on the thanksgiving trip, it was a fantastic king room. Attaching pictures but can’t figure out how to turn them (showing up sideways every time I try to post). Just tilt your head and dream lol, perfect view with a nice deep balcony.
