Walkways Closed and Windows Covered as Refurbishment Continues at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Blocked Paths

A green barrier blocks a wooden walkway, with a sign indicating that the trail ahead is closed.
Scaffolding that has been standing outside of the main building for the Copper Creek Villas section of the resort has been changing locations throughout our last few updates. However, some areas of the resort are still blocked off to guests.

Several guest rooms that were under refurbishment on our last visit now have curtains over the windows, indicating they may be close to completion.

Scaffolding has also been removed from this section of the exterior of the main building, although green barriers and some equipment still remain standing outside of the covered windows. The sidewalk area has reopened for guest use.

Covered Windows

Other areas of refurbishment, which have expanded to the patio at the back of the building, are still underway. Scaffolding and plastic window covers have added to the back area of this smaller lobby space.

Several A-frame signs placed in front of the doors read, “Please Pardon Our Pixie Dust – This Area is Being Refurbished for Your Future Enjoyment.” Compared to our last update, more white scrims have been added to windows and doors.

With a scheduled end of September 2025, only a couple of weeks remain for the planned refurbishment. Crews are hard at work trying to meet that deadline, though we will be interested to see if everything is completed by then.

Yes up to room capacity for registered guests. It is $149 per night for length of stay, and you can only add it at the front desk on your check-in day. And it is capacity limited. This became a thing after the South wing of the lodge was converted to Copper Creek DVC when there was extra capacity left the Old Faithful Club.

They don't have beer & wine out until the evening for self service, and cordials are just in the evening 8 PM - 10 PM. However you can request beer, wine, and champagne beginning at 7 AM.

The Old Faithful Club has specific service hours while the large open seating area is open 24/7 for CL guests.

Oh it’s capacity limited, so like you would even know if you got it or not until you got there that’s a pretty big deal. Has anyone ever not been able to add it at check in? That could be a pretty good deal.

just the alcohol alone can be worth it, but than again if you are at the pool it is annoying to keep going up and down. The food also is worth it

Thank you for the info

Beer was available in fridge on counter from afternoon thru evening.

Pretty sloppy reporting from WDWNT mixing the two current projects around the resort in their narrative. There is no “September 2025 deadline” for the ongoing exterior work, just to avoid any confusion.

Yes there have been a number of reports over the years of it being at capacity when guests inquired about adding it.

What type of beer? Anything crafty? Would be good for when I’m there and a “walking beer” but would have to avoid the constant back and forth.
I’m so sorry I don’t drink beer so I just remember seeing the bottles in the fridge several different kinds. There was a stations right next to the fridge where you could fill a glass from the dispenser. Also there were chilled glasses in the fridge for the beer. There was also a very fancy coffee machine that has 4 different screens with multiple choices on each screen. Mickey bars and ice cream sandwiches available on request. 😊

No worries it’s helpful to know they have beer in the afternoon. It could get annoying asking someone each time for a beer. Oh wow they have chilled glasses to that’s fancy.
Idk if I’ll be able to handle all you can drink these days lol
