I’m just wondering if we’ll be able to use the golf cart to go to the pool at the lodge

Just to add to the great feedback from @bookbabe626, no you can't take a Golf Cart from Ft. Wilderness and drive to the WL for any reason or anywhere beyond the Ft. Wilderness entrance.

We will be staying in a cabin at the campground in march. I cannot find a thread for this. Is the campground a completely separate resort? Or is it sort of all the same? I’m just wondering if we’ll be able to use the golf cart to go to the pool at the lodge

The campground is a completely separate resort. You cannot use the pool at Wilderness Lodge. The campground has its own pool.

Yes the high fireworks should be just to the left of the Contemporary A-frame. But that one tall tree needs to be topped to improve your view....

This is scheduled to be all done by September or October right? Should all be gone by our December trip?

Also does anyone know if they’ve already done the exterior closer to the pool on the hotel side or is that next?

Not exactly there is no announced end date for the Exterior work on either side of the lodge.

You might be thinking of the room refurbishments for the CCV side of the lodge, and the Cabins. That is what does have a scheduled end date September 2025.

Perhaps that is what I was thinking of. Does this exterior work seem to be going quickly? December is still (unfortunately) a long way off. But not really.

The picture that @mrsap posted from FB is the on the lodge resort side with the scaffolding.

There is no schedule available as the scope of the current exterior work still remaining either in the Courtyard or on the outer U side of the lodge overlooking the Smoke house, CM parking, and the wood view / Cabins.

Copper Creek Refurbishment Complete​

Refurbishment of the Disney Vacation Club villas is effectively complete, with only a handful of rooms receiving finishing touches.

The renovations to Copper Creek Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is all but finished. All 6 floors of the main building are open to guests, and there are no visible signs of construction on the villa wing.

Most of the rooms have been updated to include the newer pull-down Murphy-style sofa beds in all rooms. The sofa beds are full size in Deluxe Studio rooms and queen size in One Bedroom and larger villas. The pull-downs will not be added to a handful of rooms on the 6th floor due to a unique ceiling configuration which does not provide sufficient space.

New carpet has been installed throughout the villa wing and villa entry decor updated. A handful of rooms may still be unavailable as finishing touches are applied, particularly some of the waterfront cabins. Exterior work is being performed on the hotel wing with scaffolding currently in place in the courtyard (see above.)

This soft goods refurbishment is the first update to Copper Creek since its opening in 2017. The project began back in May 2025 and was set for completion in September. In addition to the new sofa beds, guests will find minor changes to wall coverings, floor coverings and decor.
