Resort Thread Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE

Here now and they're having problems with the water. Have been told the water is out for the entire resort, but we have cold water in our room, just no hot water and the shower won't turn on. Thankfully we had a chill day doing the architecture tour and the tasteful artistry so don't need to shower before dinner! Fingers crossed it comes back on soon.
We stayed May 12-16, CC side 2 bedroom room 5134 had ice cold water two days in a row. Had a beautiful view they wanted to move us. I didn’t want to move just wanted hot water. Maintenance came during the day we were not in room, they said water temp was fine. Was not fine at 11:00pm and 5:30am. Never got any explanation.

Quick question how did you report the lack of hot water issue. Was it from your in-room phone or at the Front desk?

It sounds like your water temperature problem report got the details of the issue reversed in translation, and maintenance was looking for you water to be too warm.

My daughter is a foodie. Is there a snack that is unique to the Lodge?
Snack? Maybe the fire side cup cake, but it's really a mass produced chocolate Disney cupcake. It's definitely cute, but it's a basic cupcake. The bear claws are good, but not really something I would say would appeal to a real "foodie". The bison burger at GP is good, but it's not a snack. Territory Lounge has some unique appetizers. To me, Disney and "foodie" really don't "mix" unless it's V&A's. But there are a lot of things that are "good enough".

How is the construction now? Any bother?
I saw this posted on FB.

“We were there last week- they did have scaffolding up in front of exterior close to the roaring fork and 1 of the doors going in from the pool was blocked. As stated earlier the elevators going up in one area were closed.

We went over to the BC and the scaffolding at WL was sooo minor compared to what was happening at BC.

There were no disruptions from them working—definitely no magic ruined at WL.”

The exterior paint work in that area is needed. Stayed there a few months ago with a room where that scaffolding is and the paint was peeling off of the green roofing. Nice to see them taking care of it.
