Resort Thread Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE

Stopped by for a visit today. Granted, it’s Sunday, and I don’t believe BVCC works on Sunday, but it seems that they’ve started moving in cherry picker equipment to several areas. In front of the bus stop and outside guests rooms (cash side of the resort close to the ferry boat). They’ve also laid down tarp alongside those rooms, so I believe exterior refurbishment is going to start soon.

I did not see any work being done or equipment near the cabins or Boulder Ridge side of the resort.

I only noticed our brown post was painted or touched up

When we were there they had the cherry picker and they laid down plywood on the grass. We were on the first floor and noticed they painted or touched up the brown posts on our patio.

We will be staying CL at WL in January. We are planning to request a courtyard view room. Although waking up to see the castle would be lovely, I really love the courtyard at WL. My husband also would like to watch the Electrical Light Water Pageant from our balcony (we know we will have to stand). Anyone have a room recommendation?

Hello! I am staying at WL for one night in January. I would love CL access. I keep stalking the site to try and upgrade. I called and they said only a king room was available which won't work for us. Has anyone had recent success paying the $150 for a night of access?

Someone reported it back in April, in the CL thread, that they were able to add it on. Unfortunately, you won’t know until check in that day, if there is availability. Good luck!

I did the add on this summer for three nights. It was quiet.
There was never a crowd in the food area. But, it would be hard
to get your hopes up and not get in! I feel like it's a great hidden
CL value. I am waiting for them to mark the price up from $150 a night.
Disney hates a bargain.

There is no guarantee that you will be able to add club level access, but I have never been told no when I wanted to add it on past trips. We plan to add it when we are there in February. :)

Is this possible for DVC bookings, or just hotel stays?
Definitely not on DVC points. People have said if you are staying in a DVC villa, on a cash basis, that you cannot, either - that is has to be a WL hotel room. However, I did BRV on cash a few years ago and was offered the CL add on at check in. I declined, it was a newer CM, so it may have been a mistake to offer.

From what I've heard, only WL hotel rooms. We were originally in BRV on a cash stay, and I was going to try to do this, but all the info I could find said just WL hotel. We ended up dropping the dining plan we had and upgrading to WL CL anyways. We are going at a busier time, and I wanted to know ahead of time that I had CL.

Thank you for the information. I adore WL CL but since buying DVC have mostly been doing DVC stays.

Has anyone had a chance to try the (fairly new?) menu items at Roaring Fork? Everything gets reviewed at Disney, usually, but I’m not finding much on these…

Breakfast sides:
Bacon walnut sticky bun
Maple-bacon-pecan danish
Marionberry danish
Smoked cheddar grits

Thanks!

Hi! Does anyone have any construction updates? We're taking our 3-year old daughter for her first Disney trip in January, and decided on the WL for theming and proximity to MK. I know there's a lot of exterior construction going on, but how bad is it? It seems like almost every resort is being refurbished to some extent this January!

Curious as well! I'll be there in less than 3 weeks, just for 1 night but it's my first time staying there. 😍
