I assume the regular rooms don't have a freezer. I was going to bring a little freezer pack but I won't have a way to freeze it.

Would a ziploc bag of ice from the ice machine work as a substitute for the ice pack?

Fwiw- I had to ice a shoulder a few times a day last year at Disney. I bought a refillable ice pack from Amazon before my trip. At my hotels I filled it with ice from the vending machine and then a little water in the room to really chill it. When I checked in I asked at each front desk to be near an ice machine even when I had already done online check in.

Did it just appear today or did you have a flyer in your room? I can see the construction lift in the back corner of your picture to reach upper floors.

Nope. Came back and the sign was on our sliding door. Yes it is a big lift.

Also the laundry rooms were all out. They are through an app through third party company. So I was able to go to the club level and finish my laundry. That was the only one working.

The boat transportation is spotty. All of boats weren’t all running the one day we went to magic kingdom. Just the one small one. Then because of the rain in the afternoon the small boats don’t run. And the big one was running to wilderness lodge and fort wilderness. So we couldn’t leave magic kingdom by boat.
Hindsight we probably would have been better to take the bus.

Yes the more complex the solution the more things that can and will go wrong. At least you had a workable solution of using the 7th floor.

That would be the time for guests going to / from Pioneer hall for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review for Dinner – 4:00 PM, 6:15 PM, 8:30 PM. Many Guests take the WL Resort bus to the WL and then the boat to Pioneer hall.

This looks very similar to what happened to us at YC back in 2021. Our view was of those lifts the whole week and one day they suddenly closed our balcony to power wash it. When they were done there were paint chips and all manner of dirt on the balcony for the last couple of days of our stay. I'm hoping very much that this does not happen to us at WL next month!

Ahh you mentioned Club level and I had no idea they had anything on the 7th floor. So it sounds like you used the DVC self-service laundry over in the Copper Creek Villas wing of the building. Did you at least get free usage of the machines?

Oh ok. I thought the manager said club level but I was so tired. It was late. she must have said DVC. Sounds right. I was just grateful that I was able to finish my laundry

They said it was because of the lightning and the small boats not being able to run.

Only one small boat in the morning. One left at 7:30 am. They said the other boat was under maintenance.

Weather plays a part in the boats for sure. If lightning they don’t go. We couldn’t take the boat back from MK since weather wasn’t good.

Update on today’s work on patio…..
They finished. It looks like they painted the brown pillar. It did need to be touched up.
It wasn’t loud and didn’t bother us.

I want to say we had first floor room and felt it was convenient to Roaring forks, laundry room and going outdoors to the pool or path to the boat.
Also we could see the fireworks through the trees from our room.

Thanks for all your updates! I love that you ended with a positive one. Some people don’t do that.
