Hello WL experts, a quick question - can you rent a pontoon boat now at WL? I understand some resort marinas opened back up late last year. The lodge has rentals on the website but then WL is not on the list of available locations. Thank you for any help!

Well we were going to play in the splash pad on check in day next weekend but that seems to no longer be an option. Bummer because we have a split stay with ALK and thier spalsh pad is closed too. We have about 4 hours to kill before check in, is there a way for us to visit the fort? I know boats are not running, but is there a bus?
Yes, there’s a bus that runs between WL and the Fort.

I may need to check MDE! Trip isn't until August, but it probably won't be available then. Thanks for the heads up!!!
Like anything Disney, when you see something you want GET IT THEN. It's so hard to get good magicbands online. The variety is always poor and they sell out so quickly.

Hi everyone!

Arriving at the WL Monday for my DD's 25th birthday. Its a girls only trip and would LOVE connecting rooms so we can share the two bathrooms.

When I booked I added the request and I checked to make sure it was there a couple of weeks ago. I know that is not guaranteed, but wanted to know if I should be doing anything else.

Before covid I think people called the hotel directly or faxed. I rarely make requests, I don't really mind where they put us...just happy to be there..lol.

Not sure what the best thing is to do....or just leave it alone.

Thanks in advance!

Hello all. We have a stay at Wilderness Lodge in early April, and I was wondering if there is an actual mini Fridge in the Nature View room (with 2 Queen beds)?

So if we wanted to go see the horses would it be better to take the boat to MK, get the boat to the fort or take the bus and then the internal buses. Never been to the fort so I don't know which would be faster. Thanks

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the only pontoon rental locations that are open around the Seven Seas Lagoon/Bay Lake area are CR and GF. The others still haven't reopened since the COVID closure.

Someone please chime in if this have changed recently.

We had a nature view room in September and it has a frig but not a freezer compartment. It is the frig they are putting in most of the resort rooms now. Here is a picture of the type of frig they are putting in the rooms.

There is a bus that travels between WL and the settlement depot of FW. This bus comes by "all the time". The FW bus depot is literally steps away from the new horse barn. This is the best way to go. :)

We are staying at Copper Creek for the first time. What is the "fort" being referenced and why do people want to visit it?

And note the sticker in the bottom corner of the fridge glass door. It is actually not a fridge but a beverage cooler. It does NOT cool cold enough for food safety purposes. Good for keeping your bottled water cool, not safe for perishables overnight.

This is a closeup of that sticker that I copied off the web that someone took at another WDW resort. Sorry I did not record the source.

You can contact the front desk and ask for a real style dorm fridge if it's for a medical or health reason. I'm not sure how many they have, but I've seen in other threads it can be requested. This style of fridge is good for keeping drinks cool, but like milk, especially whole milk, I'd be leary of drinking after like 24 hrs or so in this.

My first grader wrote about our recent trip at school. Apparently the lodge tour was his favorite (thats what the second page is referencing if you aren’t used to interpreting first grade writing) 🥰

Does anyone know if Roaring Forks has a microwave for use?
Also, is there any sort of scavenger hunt at Wilderness Lodge?

That picture he drew is dead on exactly how I picture it in my head. Good job! 👍
(No sarcasm here. I also have a 1st grader, and that’s how I would draw it.)

I was impressed!

It’s always fun to see what they take away from these trips
