Out of curiosity, any word on when Roaring Fork will be opening again? I looked around and couldn't find an expected date.
Rumor is mid to end of July, basically around the time the CC Villas open (July 17)Out of curiosity, any word on when Roaring Fork will be opening again? I looked around and couldn't find an expected date.
Quick question... what time to be at the bus top to MK for rope drop? With the changes in security and early Main Street admission I'm not quite sure what to plan. Going in early June and starting to put together the daily itineraries now.
My goal in June is 7:15-7:30 to arrive by 7:45-8. I've heard the bus ride is about 5 minutes but of course, that doesn't include waiting on the bus to arrive at WL, nor going through security.Reposting
You don't want that room, or anything that "high". We just checked out of 5060 and it's way too far down to see fireworks. You want something closer to 5030 for a good view. Nothing higher than 5050, I'd guessI did put in 5066 but I am not sure if that is in the North tower.
Yes, we are there very late the other night. However it might be cutting it close if it's right at midnight. The kitchen may close 15 min earlyI see that Geyser Point Bar & Grill is open until midnight. Does anyone know if the full menu is available until midnight? Do you think the hours would be extended in the summer? We will be arriving really late in June - could be close to midnight - and I was hoping for a place where we could sit and relax - and possibly eat a bite (without having to bring food with us from the airport)

As for towers, there is only 1 now. All the rest are Villa rooms

Hi was 6034 a standard view?Agreed. We were in 6034 last week and had a great view of the fireworks, but the room had a solid/dormer balcony instead of an open one. It was better than the 1st floor room we were originally given though!

Yes, room 6034 is a standard view room. Right now all of the rooms that face the MK are standard view rooms. The courtyard view rooms face the pool and inner courtyard.Hi was 6034 a standard view?
will that still be the case in September?Yes, room 6034 is a standard view room. Right now all of the rooms that face the MK are standard view rooms. The courtyard view rooms face the pool and inner courtyard.
Standard view rooms will always face MK, since there are only two sides to the resort. The bigger question is when will they bring back the woods view category? Those rooms will also face MK but they won't be over the loading dock.will that still be the case in September?

Those lower numbered floors were categorized as woods view rooms up until the time of the cabin construction. Once they cut down all the trees they changed the booking category to standard view. A CM told me that they had plans to plant 200 trees, some of which were very large. He said that they pull large trees out of Magic Kingdom and put them in a tree nursery over at Animal Kingdom somewhere. They will use those trees at WL once the construction is finished. Then I would guess that the rooms with the lower numbers would go back to being woods view.New here...just upgraded to WL with free dining!
I'm looking at room requests too. On touringplans they have the higher number rooms as standard and the lower number rooms like 6034 as woods view. Is woods view not a category (no longer due to construction?) Is it just a subset of standard? I'd love a lower number room but I didn't think I could request them since they weren't listed as standard (on touringplans at least).

The club level rooms are on the 7th floor, which means an enclosed balcony, except for the deluxe rooms, which are at the end of the wing. There are club level rooms on both the courtyard side and the loading dock side. I don't like the enclosed balconies, either.Looking for some advice on room requests staying Club Level in a standard room. Am I correct in saying that I will be on the 7th floor which means a definite dormer/enclosed balcony ? I'm really not that keen on an enclosed balcony at all. Also, if I am correct all the CL standard rooms seem to be situated directly above the loading bay. I'm a light sleeper and feel that could also be an issue. WL is our favorite resort and its our first time CL but the room options are looking less and less appealing
Any advice appreciated
