Yes the temp OFC is on the 7th floor and the new OFC will also be on the 7th floor. Again, there is currently only one wing, the North wing and if you get 2 Deluxe rooms on the same floor they will be 2 rooms in between them at the end of the North wing.So the temp ofc is still on floor 7? Maybe I should ask for the highest floor where 2 deluxe rooms are available in the same wing?
Holy moly the electrical water parade is loud. The cabin guests are going to get an earful once those are finished.![]()
Single digits! Getting very excited now. Travel on Saturday and have 5 nights at Universal, then we check into the WL on the 3rd for 15 nights. Can't wait to see the Lodge again. Last time we were there the main pool was closed so we are not really worried about the construction, very glad the pool is open!
So true, just ask any of the Poly Bungalow guests! In addition the the boat horns! There is a sound cost to those "lake front" views...Holy moly the electrical water parade is loud. The cabin guests are going to get an earful once those are finished.![]()
Here is a small map, the North wing is on the top and the now closed South wing is on the bottom.

Dave
Ran into parent of the year this evening. Kids were sprinting and yelling down the hallway. I stuck my head out just as the parents were walking past and mentioned they were being loud and the dad said "thanks for snitching on them." No apology, no parenting, no consideration for others.
My parents would have marched my little behind back up the hallway to apologize, and I would do the same with my son. He is expected to be quiet and considerate of others in the hotel.
What is wrong with people?
Edit: I am awarding my wife Mom of the Year for singing DS to sleep with "Stay Awake." She does Mary Poppins proud.
That was me , glad to help! I booked a 2nd trip and am missing you both trips by just a few days! Thanks to whomever mentioned that the Spring Passholder rate had dropped! I was at the beach from TH-SU and WiFi was spotty to say the least. Came home and saw this and applied the discount to my March WL stay, it's saving me a little bit off of the general public discount for a total of 35% off. Tried to apply it to my January trip but I'd have to bump up to CY view and it'd end up costing me money to do so, I got Std with General public for $230 a night. Daughter doesn't want to switch to YC or BWI for a little more $$, she's wanting to do WL again for both trips. Now, since the 60 day window is coming up very soon for January, I have to decide whether to go ahead and renew our APs now, around 6 weeks early, saving me 15%, but pretty much locking me into that January 2-5 trip if I want to maximize my 13 months of AP. Decisions decisions. Can you add me to the list for January 2-5 and March 18-21 please?
There are 7 Court Yard rooms on each floor, 4,5,6 that are directly off the main lobby. (ie not on either wing), rooms x067-x079 that look directly out toward the lake. They have long been called the "Bear Faced" rooms that face NE.How would I request a "Bear Face" room? Do I just call and request or do I need a room number?
I just pulled the trigger and booked a 5 night stay at WL beginning June 18 to celebrate our 20th anniversary. No kids.
I'm a bit worried about construction and changes, but we loved WL when we stayed there in 2014.
So many changes in just a couple years time...
What will the refurbishment be like in March 2017? We will be in a standard room. Is the main pool open? I'm trying to find info on the thread, but it would take me all day to read through.
Was able to apply spring passholder this morning so got 35% off wl for january and oops booked again for march! yippee
Kook add me 3/22-26 wl cl for me and my mom.
Take off January I decided to try AKL cl. ( I don't like 2 in a row resorts, lol)
That's the best kind of oops! Just applied the AP discount to our Jan 2017 reservation as well, happyhappy with the rates. It's our first WL stay, and I have realistic expectations re: construction.
My dad always took my mom on vacation in March for her birthday until a few years ago. I escorted them to disney their last trip 5 years ago. With the unexpected passing of my dad I thought a mom and me march trip would be in order. I think she will love WL. Last time we were at poly and she loved the convenience of CL. SO wl cl it is! I also timed it with DD21 spring break so maybe she can join us too.
Hi guys! I checked the Transportation post in this thread with the info about the nature trail from WL to FW, but I'm not sure if it's been updated. I just heard that the nature trail is closed due to the construction.
- Can anyone confirm if this is true?
- If so, does anyone know how long it will be closed for? I will be in WDW from 12/6-12/11
- If it is closed does anyone know if there is an alternate way to get from WL to FW on foot? I was really hoping to head to WL to check out the Christmas decorations and then start a run from there over to FW to check out the decorated campsites.
Thanks so much for any info anyone has!![]()
I was trying to find which wings were which but can't find the map on the first page, am I just missing it?
